Insane or no worries?

Apparently a lot of people do this (my brother included). I think it's crazy.

There is a lot of salt in cheese and that would help prevent any micro growth.
In addition, most meat toppings have a lot of nitrates and preservatives (for flavor) that also help prevent micro growth.

Throw it in the microwave & 99% of the time you'll be fine.

It will probably be safe, but who the hell wants room temperature pizza?

Interesting you bring that up because when I first thought about it I thought the cheese would be the one reason you shouldn't leave it out.

Again, I would never recommend this practice, but I guess it must be "harmless" enough since so many people I know do it.

It will probably be safe, but who the hell wants room temperature pizza?

I've never understood the appeal of cold pizza either.

Ahh, the laws of probability. There is always that pesky 1% isn't there?

Throw it in the microwave & 99% of the time you'll be fine.

I do! I love room temperature pizza. Honestly, I don't really like cold pizza and I'm not a huge fan of right-out-of-the-oven hot hot pizza.

It will probably be safe, but who the hell wants room temperature pizza?

And to the OP, two words: EAT IT! (That's what she said).

Well, yes...it may not always be 1%, but if you live, there is always a % chance that things could go horribly wrong. There is a % chance that you will die tonight.

You might wind up with a bad case of the runs. The kind where you're trying to blow a kiss and instead, blow a bowl of chocolate pudding into your drawers........

Flatular Bowl blasting at it's best, pudding drawers while you're standing in line at the bank at the worst

between all the toppings and the dough, there are like 24 preservatives that are 'completely safe for human consumption.' ...

I'm retarded when it comes to old food. I risk illness way too much when it comes to leftovers. Hell I did it last night with almost 2 week old refrigerated pork.

Well I would say if you want a good diarrhea med then this is the plan for you.:)! Tastes good too.

Bacteria grows in temps. betwen 40 & 140 Degrees so if you want room temp pizza, and all kinds of probable sicknesses be my guest. I never really got the appeal of cold pizza myself.

Nuke it for 45 seconds and it will be good to go.

Probable bacteria's that can twist your cap back are:

E. coli: Primarily found in meats, but can be in veggies as well.
Salmonella: Nasty little bacteria that causes diarrhea, and can cause sever stomach cramps among other things.
Campylobacter: commonly referred to as the camper this angel here can give you diarrhea, cramps fever cold sweats among other things, and is mostly from chicken.
Calicivirus: This ultimate winner is nearly ever talked about, but is just about the most common. Will have you throwing up, diarrhea, and all manner of fun times.

Most of these subside in a day or two and symptoms occur from a few hours to a day out, but usually sooner.

Just a little tid bit of what COULD occur, and not necessarily what WILL occur. Don't ask how I know this stuff. but I can say I have plenty of experience with it.

Got food poisoning from Domino's Pizza left out for several hours once...was sick for 3 days and it was one of the most miserable experiences of my life...on the 4th day i was able to hold down some Gatorade...never took a chance on eating old food or food that has been sitting out again, not worth it.

A lot of people say they had food poisoning, but if you ever really experience it, it's something you won't ever forget...pretty brutal stuff.
