Last night agent Drew Rosenhaus e-mailed the entire league to say the Chicago Bears are willing to trade tight end Greg Olsen. Today the Bears have, indeed, traded Olsen — to the Carolina Panthers.
Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports that the Bears traded Olsen to the Panthers for a player and a draft pick

Olson was there best receiving threat but they never threw to him

Sweet. Get rid of half of Cutler's receivers. That'll go well

Mike Martz has never really featured the TE in his passing game schemes but for the Bears' sake it was a mistake with their lack of a WR corps.

Bear EPIC FAIL. Wheres the facepalm smiley when needed...
I mean who did the Bears have in the Redzone to start??
unless they land a decent FA WR...this will be a long..long season. No suitable #1/#2 WRs...no TE...defenses key on the run game and Forte has another horrible year...

the Bears will have Spaeth, Brandon Manumaleuna and Kellen Davis at tight end — the three players made a combined 15 catches last season.
So here's how the Bears' TE corps compares to some of the best:
Packers: Jermichael Finley/Donald Lee
Patriots: Rob Gronkowski/Aaron Hernandez
Colts: Dallas Clark/Jacob Tamme
Falcons: Tony Gonzalez
Chargers: Antonio Gates
I should also add all those teams have a legit No. 1/2 receiver. Good luck competing with those guys.

Bears website doesn't say anything about a player in the trade. ONLY an undisclosed draft pick. Epic fail doesn't even begin to describe that trade:mad:

I don't know why it was even mentioned but Adam Schefter on ESPN slammed down rumors that the player was Steve Smith. Yeah right.

It looks like the Bears are talking to Sims-Walker now.

WTF!!!!! the Bears trade Olsen..... I really dislike the Bears right!!!!
I don't understand that move it isn't like trading him was going to free up a lot of money. UGH!!!!! I haven't been this mad with a Chicago sports team since the Cubs let Maddux sign with the Braves.
