So me and this guy (ON ANOTHER SITE) worked out a deal

I got
2011 Bowman Harper Auto
2009 Sweet Spot Jeter Auto /299

I sent
50 Diamond codes via PM. Looks like I'm out the $ those were worth :o:(
$200 via paypal GOODS--thank god

The tracking number he gave me has said "no info available" since the day he gave me it. He claims to have mailed Monday but still nothing.

Now usually I'd give it longer than 3 days but I saw he was suspended from the site and jumped to conclusion that it was for shiit like this and then jumped to conclusion that I'm screwed. Shipping info would have showed up by now. if he printed it, it would at least say "pre shipment info" if he mailed it through the post office, it'd say acceptance.

I was lucky to be able to get his email So I can try to work something out.

The reason I post this here is because I get way better answers from you guys than any other site :D keep up the good work

And to the guy this is about, if you have an account on BCF as a different name, PM me..

I would wait a couple more days to see what happens. I've been on both sides of it when Ive been sent a tracking number by a seller that came up "no info available" and of coarse like you I got worried, but the package eventually came in and then the tracking details would show up. I dont know if its the employees not scanning the packages, or a delay in computer information, but I would give it more than 3 days for the cards to come in. Figure you have today and tomorrow's mail, if it isn't here by next Monday or Tuesday and you don't here back from this guy then you should file a claim.

On another note, this guy did get the short side of the deal. Your codes are lik $3 a piece and $200 paypal, so you were in $350 when the Harper auto sells for about that alone (depending on the auto quality) so essentially the Jeter was free? I hope it works out man, but like they say if it's too good to be true, it usually is.

Yea he came off as a good guy, he had perfect feedback and everything. It's pretty much official I'm not getting anything, I just got a PM here asking if it was "**************" from ***************.com because he's been ripping people off. So there goes all hope. It really was too good to be true.

WAY too good to be true.

You're going to have to give it a bit of time, but hopefully you have experience filling out mail fraud claims. Whe the time comes post back and ask for links because folks here will certainly help you out.

Can't I just file a claim with paypal?

I'd give it at least 7-10 days after he said they were sent, sometimes our postal service isn't always fast on their deliveries.

Certainly. Filling out a mail fraud complaint is something completely separate from that...something to do if you really want to try and bring the hammer down on this guy. If multiple folks have been scammed then multiple MF complaints lodged against him might generate some action.

I've done it one time and it was successful.

Mike I also think what Indy was trying to say with the mail fraud form is for you to use it as a way to recover the money you lost on the codes you sent him. You should have no issue getting back the $200 in paypal by filling a claim, but they cant help you with the diamond code situation. Did you happen to hear back from the guy today?

Yeah, the old saying "if its too good to be true, it probably isn't". or whatever.
Basically trading say $150 of value in your favor, when one thing he's getting is only 50 codes that could give him jack squat?
Might as well file the claim, get your money back and if you actually do receive the cards, you can paypal the money back to him.

Don't be so quick to pull the trigger and file a claim. I recently sent off a card to someone with DC, and for about 4 or 5 days it said no info was available (I checked everyday). It wasn't until it was actually delivered to the guy's mailbox until I saw any type of status update at all. Give it until Monday after your mail has been delivered, especially if the guy is sending from across the country to you. If your cards haven't arrived by then, I would say go ahead and file a claim.

I can take several days for delivery confirmation info to update, if at all. All the USPS promises is notice of delivery. I sent a card on the 20th and there was no update until the 25th. It was delivered on the 22nd.

OTOH, lots of people use the fact that they have a DC number to do all sorts of unsavory stuff. Or just to be lazy and wait a week to mail it (someone just did this to me).

I'd give it a few more days but keep trying to contact him.

I've had cards take up to 14 days to deliver...I mailed it to the next stat over (I'm in oklahoma) and tracking said it went to california twice before making to Kansas. You are protected for the purchase, no rush...no advantage to doing it now or waiting a week.

Have you had any communication with him, or is he not responding to you? If it is the latter, I would file away!

Ok guys so I sent him an email Thursday and no response. I got a PM from a mod on the other site saying he's been scamming people and using an abandoned trailer as his address. So it looks like no mail fraud claims for me. But anyways I filed a claim because the tracking still doesn't work and I've gotten more than enough evidence that I got screwed

Bummer man, was the Harper Bowman Auto the one you were gonna try to add to the BGS submission?

But I have one Harper and was planning to add the other one in too but I just sent one

sorry to hear about your situation Mike.
FWIW- A few month ago someone a package with DC that after several days of nothing but "electronic info received" then showed as out for delivery in the same zipcode he sent it from (a good 2000 miles away from me). the next day it was in my mailbox and the all the tracking was suddenly updated.

similiarly, more recently someone sent me a 1/1 that i paid 100 bucks for. tracking again showed "electronic info received" for 4 days until suddenly it was "out for delivery" here.

I dont know why this happens

In your case, there's obviously some other issues involved.
But as far as the tracking thing goes its not all that uncommon.
You and i trade on at least 3 of the same boards (thanks for that pile of wbc cards)

i sincerely hope things work out for you with this.

Name looked familiar couldn't figure out what site and what deal we did. But glad you liked those WBC cards

But anyways, it's happened where I sent out and it said electronic info for a month and then said delivered. Luckily I've dealt with the guy many times and he was calm and believed me 100% on it. I understand there's issues with tracking sometimes but it's the fact that everyone he's dealt with has had issues so I'm assuming in in the shiitter with everyone else who got scammed
