Looking for peoples' opinions...
of all the high end wax, what has the best overall value for the price?
Basketball - 06/07 UD Chronology? 06/07 Exquisite? 06/07 SPGU? 06/07 Ultimate?
Hockey - 06/07 The Cup (full and half case); Ultimate?
Football - UD Premier? SP Rookie Threads? 05 or 06 exquisite? Ultimate?
Baseball - UD Premier? Triple Threads? ultimate?
I would like to get at least one tin over either the up OR chronology... but a couple hundred bucks is a lot of make up in a few cards lol.

Hockey:
The Cup. I will be buying a case of it as soon as I get paid.....hehe Out of the 2 tins that I have bought I have maximized my profits. I was going to buy another single tin from blowout but figured I may have pulled the best card left of the single tins so I assume its better to go with the case even though it will be 6 times the price.....lol.....But I should ge a case card hopefully, right?????:o

how much did you avg from your tins? did you hit huge hits? or just mediocre hits and were able to sell every single card?

Out of those products I would go with The Cup and Triple Threads baseball. I did very well in both of my breaks with those. Lots of holes in those other products.
I built my own box of Exquiste FB last year off of fleabay by buying singles that was alot less than what boxes were selling for. Huge gamble breaking.
Ultimate Collection hockey autos that aren't rookies sell for around $5-$8. on average. Lots of big names can be had CHEAP. I bought a Zetterberg off fleabay for $12.00 DLVD.

I had one huge hit from the 1 tin i got from blowout. I hit a Foundations quad Ovechking #'ed /10 all multiple colors and multiple breaks. Sold it for $800 BIN. My first tin I overpayed for when it first came out. 2nd tin was $150 less from blowout. 1st tin I got a 1/1 Luc Bourdon printing plate which sold for $160. I put up a total of $810 for both tins and made $1200 so far with a couple of more cards ending soon.

whats your ebay id? im trying to eyeball what the avg break looks like in terms of cards/value per card, etc. a few hundred bucks is a lot to plunk down on a tin or two lol
BAM - probably a stupid question - but do yo uthink with The Cup, buying a tin or two is a "safer" bet than buying a box or two of exquisite or chronology or premier?

Doesn't the Exquisite football pack run $700-$900?

Cap- based on MY OWN experiences I would say the Cup is much safer. I opened 2 boxes of 05 Exquisite football at WHOLESALE cost (all I could get at that price) and still got hammered. My rookies were Morency and Mike Williams. Best card I hit was a Palmer auto jersey #/5. Last years Exquisite football was so overpriced I couldn't or better yet wouldn't touch it after my 05 break. I think if you polled people that opened both products more would lean towards breaking The Cup. JMHO.

yeah, i remember all the discussion about last years' exquisite. i've always wanted to open a box of that, but at that price point... im in no rush. maybe eventually ill open a 2005 box lol.. but what are the chances any big hits are left?
junkie - yes, packs/boxes were around that much.
i want to do a youtube blowout sponsored break and was leaning towards either one high ender, or several lower end boxes... (07 sweet spot classic baseball, box or razor, 07 sweet shot hky and maybe grid iron gear..)
if i do a 300 dollar pack of the Cup, it would be nice to be able to sell the cards for at least 1/2 of what i paid for it lol.

It will only take one good pull to make 1/2 of that. IMO!!! You will get 4-6 cards per tin. I pulled 6 cards out of the 1st tin and 5 out of the 2nd tin. If you pull 4 cards that may mean you get a $$$$$ card. I haven't had that opportunity yet though.

For baseball triple threads is the only way to go. You still better get big hits or you will lose money. That is why I have been buying other people's "big hits" off ebay this year for $12 each vs. opening the packs at $100. It's big time gambling when even triple threads is only going to contain one ten to twenty dollar card for $100 packs. As for UD premier and Ultimate, premier has already been forgotten about and sales seem to be low(I have been picking up various auto's for dirt cheap) and Ultimate will be down to 225 a box with in the month, if not less. Baseball might not be the way to go. Sounds as if Hockey and Football have been doing much better lately.
