The second place bidder has 79 retractions in the last 6 months. That guy should be booted, but no sign of shill that I see.

None of the bidders have a high percentage with this seller though.

The guy with private feedback has a 2% bidding with this seller out of over 200 bids.

If you click on the bidders id, it will tell you the % of bids placed with that particular seller.

None of these bidders have a high %. Some bidders don't know how to place a max bid, and just "nibble" (place multiple bids at the minimum required). This appears to be just "nibbling". It's possible one is an occasional shill, but I don't see enough evidence to prove it.

When you click on an id and see the user has placed 50+ total bids, and 95% were with the same seller...that's an obvious shill.

Well about $140 was knocked off,somebody removed some of the bids from a bidder with 0 feedback.

Which bidder do you think is the shiller? I don't see anyone with 95% bid history with the seller. Alot of 1,2,and 3%s. That's all.

I didn't catch that the first time, but since the bid was cancelled by the seller it had no effect on the outcome of the auction.

The seller cancelled it because he didn't want to deal with a 0 fdbck bidder that had just registered.

If that bidder had placed multiple bids, and the seller only cancelled the highest one then that would be more of a possibility of a shill.

Just in case I'm not making sense...

If the seller were using a shill, when the 0 fdbck bidder placed his bid of $640 and became the high bidder that would expose the maximum bid of $630 or so for the second place bidder. If it were truly a shill a 2nd bid would've more than likely another shill bid would have been placed at $620 to insure maximum profit.

If a seller is shilling, they darn sure aren't going to leave $130 off the table.

Looks legit to me....I always love it when people make these unfounded accusations. Someone accused me of something similar without doing their research prior to proclaiming it in public. How about you make sure you have all your facts in line before you make these types of claims in a public forum? If only to save yourself a little embarrassment!

Sorry. I lIed. I didnt realize you couldnt see the bid percentage on private listings. I can't say for sure either way on this one. There were a handful of bids placed in the final hour, but for the most part they were spread out. That would lead me to assume it was different bidders. Keyword being assume.

I just didn't realize there were so many private bidders! I have never had one bid for any of my auctions....what is the benefit of being a private bidder?

The seller of that card has all of his auctions listed as private. If you would have logged out of your account, and went back to the bid history your name would have shown up as private as well.
