So I just watched a euroleague game featuring AK47, Lawson, Weems, and Krstic. It was not enjoyable. The level of play was just... inconsistent. Lawson was just awful btw.

The one thing I got out of it was that the NBA should never implement a rule where a tech is called for flopping. There is too much guessing involved for that to be constantly called. Little to my knowledge, the euroleague refs calls techs on what they feel is a flop. I saw 2 of them called.

On one of them, the guy fell after contact from the offensive player, but it looked like there was reasonably enough contact for the guy to lose balance and fall. The guy looked pretty upset.

On another play a few minutes after that play, another guy on the opposite team got hit on the nose by a swung elbow and fell back. He was promptly called for a flop. Needless to say, the guy with a slightly red nose got up to argue.

The worst thing about this is, the other team gets 2 free throws AND possession which is equivalent to a flagrant foul in the nba. What is that? That's absolutely ridiculous. What do you guys think?

I think that'd be a really good idea for the NBA to implement the flop rule, as it would take more of the game off the hands of the refs and to the ability of the players, while encouraging fair and physical play. However, I do agree that 2 free throws and possession are too much. I think they should just count it as a regular personal foul.

Correct me if I'm wrong but, didn't the nba say they were gonna fined players for flopping?

I think you probably just watched your first game and have no clue what you are talking about. I love euroleague. Great games, great flop rule.

Until NBA players flop more, they won't need to put flop rule

lol really? i saw a game where many players were simply terribly inconsistent(including lawson as i mentioned). sorry if that offended your beloved euroleague, but all I did was call it like it is.

explain to me how 2 free throws and possession on 2 FALSE flop calls is a great rule. the fact that it was called 2 times and both times the refs got it wrong tells me completely otherwise, not to mention the consequence of that false call.
