Wow I've never seen a team be so undisciplined and immature because your losing! Wow just wow! can someone, anyone explain this behavior????

Simple...frustration.
This team is way to young to understand about being targeted as Stanley Cup champions.
By the way...you spelled cream wrong.

I, probably like you, have watched the entire game and the Canes were only up 2-0 and were not overwhelming the Bruins. I just don't understand how your entire team sacrifices the game because of a 2-0 score. I dunno Its just hard to believe

It's actually been the whole Bruins season so far. They have gotten NO breaks so far and the officiating has not gone their way in any game.
But those are just excuses. The main thing is that this team is way to young to understand how to play like the Champions that they are.

I personally have never seen a team blow so many 5 on 3 advantages in a game.
Skinner skates into Chara's stick and Chara gets a high stick, refs really need to revisit the rulebook here.

We just converted on back to back 5 on 3s so I guess they balanced out. I understand what Chara was doing earlier, picking a fight with Cam, he was trying to light a fire under his team, Fine. Now they just looked like the bully who got their teeth knocked out. Sorry not trying to be a prick but I'm just glad they got what they deserved in the end.

Actually Chara was stepping in when Harrison wanted to fight Horton. I'm pretty sure Horton hasn't been cleared to drop the gloves after his concussion albeit he finally had enough of Gleason. Chara getting an instigator was ridiculous....but instigator penalties usually are.
Anyway, Carolina played well and won. Just another early season W though against the #2 goalie and Chara off the ice for 19 minutes. Still goes in the W common though.

It's all good in the 'hood though. As Boston fans we have thick skin as every time one of our Champions gets beat it's Christmas in July for the fans of the other team...

Honestly I like the Bruins, but I only started this thread was because I've never seen a entire team lose control in a 2-0 game, especially a defending Stanley Cup Champ. Also this isn't the first time we have handled the Bruins, we beat them last week and just a couple years ago we knocked you guys out of the playoffs when Boston had the best record in the NHL, in game 7, in Boston and no thread was started then :)!

Ehh....you must not watch much hockey. I have seen far worse stuff.
Like I said...the Bruins are just downright frustrated. It all boiled over tonight. Hopefully this will light their fire and get them off of their asses...

Oh yeah there is always a worse case but what happened tonight was not a common thing in the NHL and I was just a little peeved that my guys were getting bullied around because we had the discipline to understand that the two points is more important than getting pissy and trying to instigate fights. All in all good game and the Bruins will eventually get on track while my guys will get better every night.

I was at the game last night and it was just brutal to watch. The Bruins never really used their heads. Chara was asked what Cam Ward said that ticked him off and Chara said he couldn't really hear him. Which was obvious from watching. So why get in his face? That reignited the whole situation and was probably what got him the 10 min misconduct. That brought Tuukka out of the crease and got him his two mins. Chara has got to think more than that. We can't have him sit out almost an entire period because of pure stupidity.
I do think the pim's should have been a little bit closer. The 'Canes did a could job of instigating and getting away with it. Hat's off to them, they deserved the w.

Chara and Marchand, 19 and 12 PIM.

I'm trying to figure out why Boston got so dirty all of a sudden. Sure they were down 2-0, and the skinner call could have gone either way, but I don't think they improved their reputation last night. Gleason is a big bruiser, and if he actually fought Horton it wouldv'e been close. But the fact that Horton kept trying to slam gleason's head into the ice after he didn't even drop the gloves in the first place is uncalled for. I was actually surprised at his calm manner after the fight. I'm also glad he didn't get up and bust the #%$@ out of Horton (which he couldve) because that would have been 1 less 5 on 3 we would capitalize on.
Bottom line, i'm happy the Canes got their heads out of their butts and started shooting the puck and not taking stupid penalties to loose the game (like we did the first few of the season).
Boston is a good team as they proved last year, but Rask definitely wasn't on top of his game last night. Boston had 72 PIM in total last night, crazy!!!

I think Boston, especially Lucic and Horton (who have started off the season downright awful) have literally no idea what to do to right the ship. They were so frustrated and so when they got down early they just snapped and tried to fight (literally) their way back into the game. The only fight that I thought was beneficial was Chris Kelly's. The rest were unnecessary. Horton today came out and said he regrets getting into it with gleason last night and wishes he could take it back. Lucic admitted he wasn't prepared mentally for the season. It's nice that these two guys especially took responsibility for themselves, hopefully they can bounce back.

By the sounds of that you would think that Crosby, Malkin, Fleury, Staal and Neal are all approaching 30 years old. The Dynasty is just getting started, don't you worry. 2 of their best defensman in the organization aren't even up with the big club. :flex:

I can: chemistry. Pittsburgh needs their 3 best forwards ( crosby, malkin, staal) to lead the team, yet they only played 2 games together last year, which is the main reason they didn't go far in the playoffs. Once Crosby and staal get healthy and if they can stay healthy, we'll see the dynasty we've been waiting for. Their defense also hasn't been as strong since they lost gonchar. They still have a dynasty-worthy team, but only if the big three can stay healthy.

the Bears are slowly waking up from their summer hangover, just shut down a red hot Senator winning streak...and they have tons of cap room when the time is right, as they got rid of, or let go of kabbys 5 mil and Ryders 4 mil...they will be back in championship form soon enough.

Bruins have a hell of a player in Sequin.
I just wrote a huge artice on HFBOARDS.COM about how I want my Rangers to lose each and every game this year so they can really stock pile that 1 or 2 overall pick and pick up their franchise like Washington, Pittsburgh, Edmonton, Tampa Bay, Atlanta (Atlanta didnt get better but they drafted players like Kovalchuk, Heatley, Marian Hossa ect but they just never could get it going for whatever reason(s) ), Colorado, Chicago.
My Rangers PAY for everything. I am tired of that. we have a good young nucleus in Dubinsky, Callahan, Anisimov, Stepan, Lundqvist, Staal, Girardi, Sauer, McDonagh ect. But we dont have that YOUNG kid who is a stud goal scorer. We have Richards who is 31 and can dish with the best of them.. We have gaborik who looks re-energized but he is not a game breaker. He scores yes. But he is NOT a game changer/breaker.
A player like Hall or Ovechkin, or Crosby, Tavares, Seguin on certain nights.. thats THATS what you want. We have Kreider who may make the team next year and then we have the dwarfs in Bourque, Christian Thomas ect ect. We need size, speed, goal scoring ability in an 18 YEAR OLD.
So hopefully we bomb this year which looked like a possibility in the beginning but it looks like they are picking it up some now :(
Anyways, congrats to Boston on last years Cup. Good team. Good players. Great fans. Great rivalry with New York Rangers too! ;)

Scary Thing is, Knight has 11 Goals and a +14 in London and Hamilton has 8 Goals and 25 Pts at Niagara. Not even mentioning Spooner who is having a down year, but was the last Cut 2 years ago. The Bruins future is pretty bright. But speaking of the Pens, That Neal trade ended up working out great for BOTH teams. Neal is having a great year and Benn is a BEAST in his spot in Dallas.

Yeah i dont blame them. I am starting to collect Benn stuff now. I really think he is poised to be a beast in the league.. Not just for a long stretch either. He is the man.
I am going to start to make a nice PC of Callahan too. He is my favortite player on the Rangers these days. The kid has talent, takes a ton of shots, blocks a ton of shots, is not a jerk on the ice, plays with fire, is a born leader, and he is not talked about in hockey circles unless your from the tri-state area.
I firmly believe he may be the most overlooked hockey player in the NHL. Seriously. I am not being a Homer on this either. If you can, watch a 10 block of games for the Rangers. Tell me he is not the only one or most obvious one on the ice banging everything, scoring, blocking, cycling with the best of them, banging home rebounds, rifling pucks, hustles to get back on D. He is really growing into a player the league NEEDS to recognize.
Will he score 35+ goals a year? Probably not. But he did score 23 in 60 games and is off to a good start this year even though they were playing crazy road games (10 different time zones before the first home game! Plus they never really had a a training camp since they had to fly to europe and play the most pre-season games of everyone!) this year.
I think he could hit 30 goals and a decent about of points total. Maybe 65-70? Maybe 70 is a tad too high, but for a player not afraid to fight, who blocks shots, cycles beautifully, hustles on the ice everywhere and acts like each shift is his first shift of the night he has so much energy, he shoots the puck all over the place he is definately not afraid to shoot!, he hustles back to get back to help the d out, he plays a full 200 feet each shift. I think the league will fall in love with him as the time goes on. But he wont be a 40 goal scorer.
Anyways, off drool mode now.
lol
