After 6 months of waiting, and countless messages, I get it. Thank goodness for the Facebook drive they did last week.
Durant is the face of your company and you dont have him sign all his cards?
Joke....but it sure is pretty!

Nice card!
Although you, and a few other people I've seen complain about Panini even after receiving their redemption need to rethink things.
The big picture here that everyone seems to forget is, DURANT IS NOT SITTING IN A BACK ROOM 24/7 AT PANINI SIGNING CARDS!
Durant is busy, much busier than you can imagine. Panini is busy as well. Perhaps Durant didnt return the cards fast at all. And here you(and many others) are bashing their redemption service.
Panini should not be bashed for redemption times, when they are getting ON-CARD autos for you guys. 6 months isn't that bad anyways, doesnt even deserve a bit of complaint.
Sure Panini messes up a few things, but everyone's always crying about them...if they didn't exist you'd be crying more!
I'm by no means in love with Panini but sheesh, give it a rest with all the bashing, or dont buy the products! If you buy the card as a redemption, or even pull it...you are FULLY aware of the constraints a redemption card states ... if not, read the back!
Anyways, nice card bud :D

Agree in general,
but a lot of times the issue is that the old redemption was not signed, but newer products got signed
How do you explain it?

I have been waiting on 2 Panini redemptions since 12/9/2010. I mean I understand they have a lot of redemptions to fulfill but that is a bit ridiculous.

The cards could have been lost/damaged by the player signing, lost in the mail, among numerous other possible delays. You cant just look at the surface and make a call on their service, until you actually know or are in their shoes.
I just think that people, collectors, do not understand how difficult it is to deal with the players and getting on-card redemption autographs fulfilled. Not all players are easy to deal with. And Panini is NOT like UD in the way that UD has been doing this for so many years, it's much more difficult for Panini to get started ... especially with some of the less-cooperative players.

I dont agree with you. When you buy a $150 box of cards you are paying for autographs. I think it is BS that Panini thinks it's OK to put all these redemptions in their products and then MAYBE...MAYBE...send you the card you pulled, and take their time doing it. It's a terrible way to do business. I'd rather NOT have Durant or Kobe or whoever it is in every product but instead put the live autographs you do have in the stuff releasing.

not really the biggest fan of redemption and I have personally suffered from all of the above situations before (with my Bosh private signings holding for 1.5 years while I see all his on card/stickers/manufactured patches got signed in 10-11 NT),
But personally I think they do give time for players to sign (say, a certain amount of months) before the product release... then it's the player's job to sign them and return them in time...
If the players miss the cut off time then Panini would have no choice but to put out redemptions...
I'm pretty sure they would try to avoid redemptions as much as possible too... (think about all the money you can save with the extra postage/wages for CS taking angry customer's phone call, etc.)
I would say both Panini (famous 10-11 Timeless Treausres, almost guaranteed one rookie redemption per box! probably didn't give enough time for players to sign)
and the players (who are busy or lazy, but understandable if you have to sign like 10 sheets of 100 stickers in one signing... reminds me of good old detention class :p) might be at fault at this... but we're the ones who suffered :p
ahhh... and... nice Durant!
decent design and nice on card auto from Panini for a change :D

You can't say that though. If you're buying the box, it is your responsibility to read the terms. It will state if redemption cards are randomly inserted. Legally, this is what allows the redemption cards ... therefore you can't be mad at them for having redemptions inserted ... it's how they can get product out to you fast to keep collector's happy, regardless of how long it may take for a few cards here and there ... the benefits outweigh the negatives in the long run, and if you don't like that ... nobody is forcing you to buy the product.
This isn't directed at you, but anyone who feels the way you do about Panini redemptions. I'm not in love with them by any means, but they're doing what they do ... if anyone is unhappy with their services, they don't have to purchase their product . simple as that.

I disagree, thank you for urinating in my kool aid.
I paid a lot for this Durant and MONTHS passed, newer signed cards came out of his, I saw Panini had a signing with Durant and still nothing!
The reason I am pissed, the cards were signed and SITTING AT PANINI FOR MONTHS! They just didnt care, ignored my requests and it wasnt until their Facebook blitz that they did anything.
Thats what pisses me off, I understand delays etc, but IMO the face of a company shouldnt be on redemptions or waits, and in this case totally forgotten about

I hope they do that more often, and unfortunately its sad that is how people will get their redemptions

I think BO Forum has all the redemption update posts under their "General Information Area -> News & Annoucemnts" forum...
or it's on Panini's official Blog: The Official Panini America Blog (http://paniniamerica.wordpress.com/)
But you'll need to search for them.
But then, just that it got filled doesn't mean that it'll be shipped anytime soon... :p
so it's a better idea to either call Panini or post on their fb page to follow up :)

In most cases its the player/agent that hold back. The cards are sent to the agent who is responsible for getting Durant to sign them. Then he sends them back to Panini. So the people you should be mad at is Durant and his agent.
See you paid good money to get his auto. Panini has now given you a path to getting it. Durant is paid to sign. If the Mofo is slow and wont sign, then maybe they need to put a stop payment on his $$.
The face of the company (Durant) is a lazy mofo. He wont sign and return cards because he hates his fans. He wants you to suffer and thats the reason why he takes so long. Then he knows he can get away with it because youll just blame Panini and not your idol! This is how the world works!

I dunno, seams a bit sketchy you had to wait that long for his auto. I bought a box of 10-11 Absolute within a week of its release and pulled a Durant spectrum platinum auto redemption. I redeemed it and received the card within 3 weeks. Not sure why it took 6 months+ for other ppl to receive their Durant auto from he same product.

No idea if this was a joke or condescending or what, but I blame Panini on this. They had the cards, they ignore people constantly on requests and when people contact them.

I redeemed a Rodrigue Beaubois NT RAP 10 months ago. Roddy doesn't live far from panini headquarters and they confirmed he came in and signed around June. Since then his card prices have bottomed and countless redemptions with roddys sig have went out but not the NT RAP.
In fact Tracy Hackler announced a redemption update and listed that the NT RAPs went out, but the card number he had was the timeless treasures issue. The timeless treasures were sent and i brought this mistake to Hacklers attention multiple times and he would not even change it, basically letting people think the NT RAPs went out when they actually had not. After that i gave up because if he won't change a simple mistake to let people know the correct items that are going out he doesn't care if his customers are informed about what's going on.

I want to add my 2 cents and I have mentioned this before when this has come up.
> I understand the point that we pay for a box of cards knowing that their could be redemptions in there. But, they need to fill 100% of them. If not, and especially with that nice Durant above, to me it's advertising something to the customer and selling something to them that doesn't exist.
> Panini needs to use it's head and put the sticker auto's on the oldest owed autographs for those players. How many times have we seen auto's of players live for 2011 products when there are redemptions still owed for 2010. They don't want more redemptions to pile up so they place them on the new cards vs the old ones thus showing you they don't have alot of care about the customer who has been in line waiting. Bad customer service.
> Organization on their part is a joke. To the point above, I have a Derrick Rose Certified auto #'d/10 that's been in at Panini from that update they provide for over a month. Have I gotten an e-mail on it..nope....nothing....I'll consider myself lucky when it arrives....
> I honestly can't believe that the NBA wouldn't assist in this matter post lockout. To me, this is a reflection on the NBA too. Panini can only do damage to the NBA image, not enhance it. They choose Panini to soley represent them on trading cards, they know how much Panini is charging for some of these products and they should know about this redemption issue. If they don't, then shame on Panini for not putting it in front of whom they need to in the NBA to get it resolved. Maybe Panini is afraid if they do, they'll lose the license so they simply won't demand the NBA to do anything here.
> Another point about planning. The Panini offices are in Dallas. Every team comes there at least once per year to play the MAVS. How can Panini and the NBA not have something worked out which requires the players to return these or sign these cards when they come to Dallas. I get they have more to do then sign cards, but that's why these guys get these exclusive deals with Panini; to sign these cards!! When you come to Dallas, it should be worked out with the NBA that players must sign their trading cards at the NBA's direction.

I personally don't mind waiting for my redemption as long as I get it. I know that most of the times it is completely up to the player to return the cards and not paninis' fault. I am a little confused about a redemption that I am waiting for though. I redeemed an oscar robertson glass cleaners on card auto about three months ago and have noticed several on ebay since then, but mine is yet to be shipped and no updates have been made on my user id for the card? I wonder if he sent them all back to panini signed or if some are missing?? Oh well, I guess I can talk to them and find something out.

I completely agree with OP. Why would they make new releases with autos and the old releases still haven't been honored?
I recently got ahold of someone via the redemption/question area of the Panini website and Asked why there were LIVE Amar'e Autographs in Gold Standard but no live Autos since January releases..? 'They would have to inquire' but never got back to me about it.
They also couldn't answer what the print run is on Preferred Starting 5 Autographs.
I have 7 redemptions I am waiting on. All Amar'e. Cmon Panini if you can't get him to sign the cards STOP MAKING MORE REDEMPTIONS.

Very very nice card.
I think we can all agree on Panini making TOO MANY REDEMPTIONS!
I asked for a replacement last week in that facebook session when they answered a lot of requests, see what happens with that anyway
