Before the site went down the other day, got what I think is a decent hit. 1952 Topps Boston RedSox Mel Parnell #30
screenshot below. Just wondering if this truly is a good hit? or would it be smart to try and trade for a few ddc's?

Ebay completed listings show ungraded copies going for a few dollars, with graded copies going for 13-20's and one 8.5 going for a whole lot more. Might be of interest to a Sox fan, and its from a great set, so I'd redeem it.

Well, the book value is $70 in NM condition...BUT it's tough to sell single 52 Topps cards. In my experience, the best way to sell 52 Topps is in lots. With that being said, if you can pick up 2-3 DDC's of players you like, I'd say do that.

Worth a thousand dollars? no...
but none-the-less a sweet card..much better than some of the other garbage you could have redeem/pulled

For stictly sell value I would trade for DDC's.

I'd redeem it for the history value and the history value alone. NONE, I repeat, NONE of the vintage cards Topps send out in this promotion are gradeable...none.
I have redeemed close to 300 50's-70's cards and they all look like hard boiled trash juice...
After the first 50 I realized they would all be rubbish..but I like the historical aspect of many of the cards..
But they all are either torn, pencil-ed, penned, markered, painted, dirt stains, blood stains, muddy, torn, folded, cut, ripped, bented, crumpled up ,etc

Good to know. I was thinking of offering my black Pujols cut on some vintage but based on your experience with quality and some recent sales I may just have it delivered.
