I logged on to my PayPal to check my balance and I see on the top that from now on they will be holding payments that I receive. I don't know why they will be holding them. Anyone else have these issues?

It's happening to me too. When you make a new account they hold your funds until item is Recieved so you don't scam people

Had the same thing happen to me. I started using my paypal and ebay regularly back in august and they held payments. After 20 days or so the stopped. Then they started holding them again about a month ago. I called them up and apparently sports cards have tons of problems with sellers not describing their auctions so they started holding again until I have more of a record.
Just print the shipping labels from ebay or paypal and you will get your money somewhat fast. It's a pretty crappy system for people who are honest, but I understand why they do it.

I venture it's more people trying to scam sellers. Rarely is the issue with the seller but almost always with the buyer. There are always buyers who are trying to get partial refunds and extort money & feedback from sellers.

Either way, it happens a lot with sports cards and that is why paypal does that.

Thanks for the replies and the help. Another question I have is about printing out the shipping labels on Ebay. I haven't tried it yet but how do you determine the weight of your bubble mailer with cards in it? I use bigger bubble mailers than most of the other people who sell cards that I receive on Ebay does that make a difference in price? Also I always use either two pieces of cardboard or dummy cards on the outside of my toploader would that make a difference too? Sorry for all the questions just trying to determine the best way to ship and get my money faster.

It happened to me as well. I called them and they said because I had been a seller for less than 90 days they were going to hold funds. I've been selling for over 90 days now and I don't have this issue anymore.
