I have no idea what product this card came from, I have searched Beckett online/google up and down and can find nothing on it and was hoping someone here could help me out.

Some background info that might help:
I started collecting in the early 2000's and just recently got back into the hobby after about a 7 year break so I can't exactly remember where I got it. If my memory serves me right, I am pretty certain that I got this as a part of the NPN program because as a kid I was sending out entries every day (this was before the 1-2/household rule). I definitely remember being pretty excited to get such a great card for the price of a stamp, but since I sent out so many entries back then, there's no telling which product it came from. I know it shows 2003 Topps on the back, as well as what would be a 1990 Topps reprint but the front does not match the 1990 design. The Topps hologram # is 4998212 if that helps, I have also tried googling everything I could think of about the card, but nothing turns up. Even the local card shop owners cannot find anything on it. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I just hope someone out there can help identify it because it's been bugging me for weeks. I would appreciate any information that anyone might have because I have been out of the hobby for awhile and don't know as much as I once did.

Thanks,
Harris

I think that is from 2003 Topps Retired Signatures. Stated print run of 83.

The autos were inserted into packs and were encased and sealed, you probably got one they were holding back is my guess

Yup thats definitely it, thanks a lot for the quick find!

Do you think the fact that mine is not encased like the one shown affects the value at all? It shows BV at $250...not bad for a NPN :D

Thanks guys!
I know it didn't come in the case b/c I would have never taken it out. So like 78yankees said, they probably held one back for the NPN but for some reason didn't encapsulate it.

The packs contained one encapsulated card and 3-5 base cards.. you sure you didn't buy this third hand? I recently bought a collection with literally hunderds of 2004 topps retired packs so I am pretty well versed in this stuff now lol

No, I definitely remember getting it in the mail now because I had never gotten a card even close to as nice through a NPN program. There was no case on it from what I remember.

I guess its possible Topps had this in the "vault" and didn't circulate it.. that would mean there is 1 more in the print run though
