I picked up this Strasburg auto recently and was wondering what everyone else thought of it. It's the 2008 Upper Deck USA National Team autographed card /175. I like it because it's an on-card auto and it's one of his earliest autographed cards.

There is one other thing about it. The serial number stamped on the front is 999/175. I'm assuming that this is an error. Does anyone know about this? Are there others? What do you think this is worth? Thanks.

It can work in your favor, people like rare error cards like that. I remember that card was the hottest card out there lol. But there's someone else here who has a strasburg /199 numbered higher than that

Did you buy it to resell? I don't think the stamping really makes it an error or increases value. If it were me id want a card with a messed up serial number as much as a card with a fake patch.

Very nice early on card auto. I'd say that the stamping is a small foul up but nonetheless should increase the value at least a little bit. I'd say add 5% to final values on the bay. I'd personally keep it.

I pulled a Milestones & Moments Manny Ramirez card a few years back that was numbered 16/15 and it sold VERY well. It was like a $3-5 card that sold for over $60. So that error may work in your favor.

Personally I would'nt want an error card like that in my collection, but there is plenty of people on ebay who would.

I'd throw it up on ebay, you'd be suprised how much more it will go for by listing it with ERROR 1/1 lol

I like that card of his, I've owned a couple of them before. I really don't think the error will add much value and if I remember correctly for a long time I think someone else was trying to sell one of those on eBay for an ungodly amount of course it never sold so one cant tell if there is any evidence that it would add substantual value.
