NFL.com news: Texans fear Leinart suffered season-ending broken collarbone (http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d82480587/article/texans-fear-leinart-suffered-seasonending-broken-collarbone?module=HP11_breaking_news)
Apparently the Texans have angered the fates somehow...

Meh won't he just move back to #2 when Schaub gets back? I don't really see how it's a new "era". The coaches sure seem to think highly of the kid tho and hopefully he can play pretty well as a rookie.

Sarcasm my friend, sarcasm. :)! I have to admit he came in and did pretty well for absolutely no warmup.

Ah lulz I take you for a smart man that is why this thread really had me scratching my head.:o
I just read that article. Would have been cool to see Owen Daniels back there!
As I said before it would be neat to see them get Jeff Garcia. People on NFL.COM are talking Jake the Snake lulz.

That definitely would have been interesting! Seemed like Foster didn't have it today (aside from the one big run) and I wonder why Tate didn't get into the game more...

What!?? You still have Leinart rookie autos:eek:;)? This guy can't catch a break and neither can the team. I feel bad for them and I'm not even a fan of the Texans. They have a decent team and with Manning being out, CJ not playing well and Gabbert just sucking a$$, they had a chance to really go far in the playoffs.

I don't know about Gus, but I wouldn't mind have Farve on the team at this point. But, then again, with the luck we are having at QB this year, he would break a hip getting off the plane.
I am not sure any other QB can come in an run the Texans offense, might as well stick with Yates.

You blew it, your window was open for 2 quarters today, should have sold them after the 1st quarter.

I swear the best time to sell on guys like that is right when they're named the starter. If you can, find deals you can flip right away. Literally wait a few days and it could all be over.

This is true, I think the Palko window is already closed.

That is the irony......I was trying to buy Leinart autos for more than a far price for the past two weeks prior to his injury. Nada. People said they wanted to hold on to it since it will increase. During the first quarter of the game last week there were BINs hit for Exquisites for $400.....wonder if they guy ever got paid LOL.
Tyler Palko is a very poor example. He never had a window, never. His contenders could be had for less than $5, still can. Kid has no ability and the team isn't going anywhere.
However, Yates is a unique situation.
He is the Alex Smith of the AFC. He will be asked to do very little, roll out and make safe passes and not try to win the game on his own.
He has a great supporting cast with the best running tandam in the nfl, one of the best defenses in the league (8 wins...8 games with 14 or fewer points allowed) and one of the if not the best WR in the league.
Coupled with the fact that they play Indy twice and have a horrible passing defense in Atlanta up next and all but a shoe-in for a home game in the playoffs......his stuff is about to take off in my opinion.
ALSO....he has VERY few cards out there in his texans jersey that is an auto.

QFT. I watched him today and he did not look like a rookie except on a couple of throws. Sad thing is it looks like Dre pulled his other hamstring... If it weren't for bad luck the Texans would not have any luck at all. Hopefully the wins can continue in spite of the crappy injury luck...

Just learned that T.J. Yates is the first North Carolina QB to EVER start an NFL game. Wow, is that a record of futility for Wolfpack Football.
