Does either happen this season? 5 games to go for each.
Packers remaining: @Giants, vs. Oakland, @ KC, vs. Chicago, vs. Detroit
Colts remaining: @NE, @Baltimore, vs. Tennessee, vs. Houston, @ Jacksonville

Would it be the first season that both of those happened?

Both as well... It would have been close if the Bears kept their momentum into the Christmas game against them, but no longer.

Both.
Didn't Detroit go 0-16 the same year New England went 16-0?
How would that be for symmetry if it happens again!?

No it was 2007 for NE and 2008 for Det.

I think the Colts might get one against Jacksonville at the end of the season. That is their last game. I don't think they do it though...
Packers still need to play NYG, Chicago and Detroit again... I don't think they can run over all three. Detroit and Chicago may be playing for playoff life at the end of the season and I think one of them pull it out.
I voted for Colts 0-16 but I think the Packers will drop one.

Colts lose the next 2. Might sneak up on one of the last 3...
Question for you Packers fans. You are 15-0 going into the Lions game - do you sit your starters?

No... McCarthy doesn't believe in resting starters. They will play.

Colts will go 0-16.

I can honestly see both happening. The Colts were shockingly semi-competitive today, so maybe they'll give one of the AFC South fellas a run for their money in the last 3 games...

If the Packers are 15-0, McCarthy might sit the ailing starters for the fourth quarter, or the second half, but the rest will play. McCarthy will want to go for the perfect season. If the Packers are 14-1, they will play the starters a few series to keep them fresh for the Playoffs, but they won't have motivation to keep them in the full game.

He will play them for longer than that. Back in 2009, they had nothing to play for and stomped on the Cardinals 33-7 in the last game. I remember because Arizona wasn't too happy about it.
McCarthy is a full believer in momentum and won't rest his starters even if they are 14-1 going in. Given they will probably have a bye week, he will go all in for the last game, regardless.

Arizona coach Ken Whisenhunt took a cautious approach, Green Bay’s Mike McCarthy kept the Packers at full bore most of the day.
The result was a 33-7 Green Bay rout of the NFC champion Cardinals in their regular season finale on Sunday.
Next Sunday, the teams will meet again on the same field in the first round of the playoffs. The outcome will determine which coach took the right approach.

I don't think either team will do it, but if I HAD to choose (which I actually don't in the poll, but I will anyway :)), I'd say Indy going 0-16. The pack have a pretty tough upcoming schedule, and I just don't see them beating Chicago, Detroit, and New York this late in the season, especially being that they've all but clinched a playoff spot.

Coaches take opposite tactics in Pack's 33-7 rout - NFL - Yahoo! Sports (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/recap;_ylt=Avp2CSdZ7mi0J_0B_A.4z3z.uLYF?gid=20100103022)
I said "ailing starters." Why would they risk further injury to those who are already hurting just for a chance at a perfect season? The real goal is a Super Bowl win. Hell, we already saw it this week when Starks sat out the second half because he was banged up in previous games. I live in Wisconsin, and am fully aware of how the Packers roll. Considering the last game is against the Lions, Stafford and his fractured finger will give the defense opportunities to score, giving the Packers the option to sit whoever they please. Flynn is very capable to hold a lead if/when they decide to sit Rodgers, which I suspect they will with a lead.

Colts will go 0-16.
Then lions fans wont feel bad about being the only team in history to go 0-16 but I agree theyll go 0-16 and packers end up 15-1 hopefully giants bears or lions can beat them. Theyre probably the only obstacles for the season

The Packers aren't going 16-0. Maybe 15-1 but they ain't beating the G-Men. ;)

Sorry... I missed ailing. I guess I just assumed you meant healthy starters.

I hope its Detroit. there is just no way on God's green earth they are going to lose to KC or Chicago.
I am sticking with my "Only Colts go 0-16". I think the Pack rest starters against the Lions, plus Detroit will be playing hard for the playoffs.
