The Miami Heat! Wow they are loading up with free agents Eddy Curry and Shane Battier. I like the Shane Battier signing for them. How many pounds do you think Curry lost to get a contract? Do you think he has a clause in his contract that says he has to stay away from Mcdonalds?

Thoughts and reactions please!

I know Battier isn't quite the player he once was, but I still rate him highly and think he'll do an outstanding job as a 6th man for the Heat. He's a real 'glue guy' who brings intangibles and a winning attitude and maturity to the team - just what they need.

Hopefully Lebron, Wade, and Spoelstra listen to what he has to say. I didnt list Bosh because he doesnt formulate thoughts of his own anyways.

curry will be good for them offensively. defensively it's a whole other story. centers usually have to erase the mistakes of his team. in this case... everyone else will have to try to cover for his... terrible presence on defense. at least bosh and lebron can rebound.

battier will be a nice presence for them but probably won't play too much of a meaningful role except in small doses, esp. in the playoffs which i'm sure is what they got him for anyway
