Have you looked at the NBA recently? All the "college" kids are doing (and I'm using that term lightly as I highly doubt grades are the reason that most of them are there) are getting their "street cred" up for the NBA.

I'm pretty sure the black eye was from the punch, if you look at where the punch landed. Who knows though. Either way it's pretty unbelievable that Gates would do something so stupid.

I enjoy the sport of baskeball, but the aura that surrounds basketball has become a joke. Maybe it is because I am getting old or maybe because I dislike rap-crap. I would be happy to get rid of all the hip-hop associated with basketball. I even see it on this message board by sub-urban kids. Really folks, it isn't cool! Employers are not impressed.

Cronin just said the right thing to minimize the penalty of his players. I honestly don't think he meant a word he said. It seemed to work considering Gates only received a 6 game suspension.
