A HUGE mailday (part 2 - the significance part)

I'm pretty much done and dusted with ebay, but still might B/S/T on the forums.

I wanted to get one last 'big' card before I was done, and I most certainly did. The most expensive single card I have ever bought.....



I have wanted one of these for a long time. I didn't necessarily mind the condition as long as the centering was good. It's not superb, but it's bearable... ;)



And this is significant to me because when you think about it, this card is 50 years old. 50 years! They wouldn't have had toploaders or magnetics or anything back then, so to be in such good condition after 50 years is amazing.

No chance of Beckett ruining/damaging this one...

I think Wilt is a great investment, maybe a movie about him one of these days.
I need to pick up his RC and also an auto from him. I saved a pic of his recent psa/dna rc that went on ebay some months ago, off-centered but hopefully one day I can afford a monster like that

The off-centre card above just doesn't do it for me... even if it is autographed. I prefer the PSA 8 card. Then I'd buy a Wilt Epic Auto separately ;)
