Who do you guys think they should include in Sportkings Series B?
We need some golfers:
Tiger Woods, etc.
How about AP as a "future sportking"? Perhaps they could consider it a rookie card as well and that could hold the prices up for this product?
I have lots of ideas, but wanted to see what everyone else thought.
Let's hear it. :flex:

Tiger wood be a nice addition. Any golf legends, Jack, Arny,etc.... AP???? Too soon...lol
I thought tiger was (still) exclusive with UD. But the golf legends would be nice. With their hockey history, we will see some good hockey legends I bet.
And how about Joe Jackson for baseball?

Shoeless Joe would be Great! I hate that he was banned from the game. One of the saddest moments in all of sports in my opinion.
Satchel Paige would be cool as well.

I voted for Bobby Knight for Basketball. I had to try and get a Tech personality into the set :)!

Oh yeh add some golfers !!!
You guys would probably know I'd jump all over this LOL ..
How about some current guys who never signed for UD --
Vijay Singh, Jim Furyk , Davis Love III or 1 timers like Phil Mickelson or John Daly ....
Retired guys like Tom Watson, Ben Crenshaw, Lee Trevino & Greg Norman ...
Yes I believe Tiger is still a UD exclusive... Arnie & Jack would be great as well as they're pretty willing signers ....
Would be awesome to get some cuts from guys like Hogan, Sarazen, Snead, Nelson & Payne Stewart ....
Add some golfers to the mix and I might jump in on Series 2 for sure .....

Add Bobby Jones to the cuts maybe even Tom Morris and Francis Ouimet.
Chi Chi Rodriguez would be great also.

I was thinking some original sport kings players like the Babe and Ty Cobb. Maybe even include some sport kings buyback cards.

I like it. Now that would make people buy Series B for sure. If they do this, I hope they don't double the price.

I would like some more boxing too. A tyson/holyfield dual auto or GU (maybe a piece of holyfield's ear?) would be awesome.
Another great horse would be cool too, and how about a fictional boxer -- say -- Rocky Balboa with Stallone signing as Rocky???

What I think would be popular would be X Games guys like Tony Hawk or the Flying Tomato.

Tony Hawk should definitely be in there. Great suggestion!

How about a cut relic card containing a Greek coin, (preferrably from Athens), dating back to the time of the original Olympic games? Can you imagine the "crossover" chase for that card from coin collectors as well?

I agree with Golf and I think some more NASCAR/Indy Racing would be a good seller. Maybe more soccer??? Soccer worldwide is extremely popular.

The AP wouldn't help in that regard because people would not consider it an RC. It wouldn't hurt to include him though.
Weren't there buybacks in Series A?
mwheeler27

I don't think there were buybacks in A, but I could definitely be wrong. I don't remember ever seeing or hearing anything regarding those.

Here's one KMD would probably like to pull
Vladimir Krutov/Igor Larionov/Sergei Makarov
The KLM line from the Russian Hockey Olympic Hockey teams
Now it's in right place.

I just found out that Arnold Palmer and Payne Stewart have already signed to be included in Series B.
Really? Is Payne Stewart signing from beyond the grave?:p

making Series A and look forward to making an even better Series B.
To date, we have signed Arnold Palmer, Vasili Alexiev, Jim Brown, Juan
Marichal, Joe Frazier, Payne Stewart, Michael Irvin and many more.
Again, thanks for your interest and support.

Wow -- if they were able to get Payne Stewart to "sign," then I think they should try for Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, and Joe Dimaggio too. While they are at it, maybe they could add a celebrity sports subset and get fresh new autographs from JFK and Ronald Reagan!

Got this in my inbox yesterday:
Sportkings Series B Well Underway!
(Insert Picture here of Schayes, Brown, and Jenner)
Dolph Schayes, Jim Brown & Bruce Jenner
Plans are well underway for Sportkings Series B. Collectors have placed many votes on our website and we have attempted to include many of these choices in Series B. The confirmed list includes Jim Brown, Joe Frazier, Bruce Jenner, Arthur Ashe, Roy Jones Jr., Vince Lombardi, Mark Messier, Dolph Schayes, Bonny Blair, Lou Brock, Andre The Giant, Payne Stewart and Arnold Palmer.
There will be some great new game-used memorabilia insert sets along with some new exciting cut signature insert sets in Series B.
Many more names will be added over the next few months.
So far the baseball is VERY weak. I hope they can do better than Lou Brock!

Capt B- I am sure they mean his likeness and whatever cut sigs they got their hands on. He estate has to approve- he is not Elvis mind you, but they do need permission. That put he made in 99 to win the Open was as money as it gets- great drama....

Just thought of a few more:
Meadowlark Lemon, Goose Goslin and Curly Neal from the Harlem Globetrotters.

Andre The Giant is cool. I got to see him in person when I was young. I remember his hand was almost twice the size of my head.
Too bad they can't get Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods. These are 2 of the biggest sport kings that may never be included.
Tony Hawk should probably get a card in this set.

I think the inventor of basketball, Mr. James Naismith himself should be included in SportKings Series B. Here is some very brief info on him from a Google search:
James Naismith was a star gymnast, lacrosse player and football player at McGill University where he earned a BA in Physical Education (1887) and a Diploma at the Presbyterian College in Montreal (1890). In 1885-86 he won the Wicksteed Silver Medal as the gymnastics champion of the school's junior class. In his graduating year, he won the Medal as the top athlete of the university's senior class.
In 1891, while working as a physical education teacher at the YMCA International Training School in Springfield, Massachusetts, Naismith was asked to make a game that would not take up much room, was not too rough, and at the same time, could be played indoors. He had no idea he would invent what would become the most popular indoor sport in the United States.
How cool would a Cut Auto be from him? Wow!
