So how well do you think the Timberwolves will do this year. I will add a poll with Win totals, but how much do you also think they will improve?

The roster looks like this as of now

PG: Rubio/Barea/Ridnour
SG: W.Johnson/Ellington/Webster/Lee
SF: Beasley/Tolliver
PF: Love/D.Williams/Randolph
C: Milicic/Pekovic/Miller

Obviously a lot of players are interchangeable with their positions (W.Johnson, Beasley, Love, D.Williams)

But how do you think they will do this season??

Their 3 best players are power forwards. Never a good thing when your top 3 players play the same position. I say they win 25.

I would guess right around 20 wins. I think it's more likely they underachieve than overachieve, so I went with 0-20. I would've voted for 15-25 if it was an option.

Beasley isn't a PF, he is a SF, and Love plays a lot of Center. So potentially their starting 5 will be

PG: Ricky Rubio
SG: Wesley Johnson
SF: Michael Beasley
PF: Derrick Williams
C: Kevin Love

And the advantage of Beasley/Williams/Love is that they ALL have range. So actually you could say their best 3 players are their SF, PF, and C. Plus, we don't know how Rubio will perform yet, but having a PG that can pass like he can opens a lot more up for the team :)!

They're going to suck again. Too young with no veteran leadership or superstar.

Rubio/Johnson/Beasley/Williams/Love would be an all-time terrible starting five from a defensive perspective. They would give up 105 ppg+ on the season.

Was referring to Love, Williams, & Randolph. If Love plays center I would say maybe 30 wins. I think Pekovic and Darko are terrible, Miller should be the backup over those 2. I would also say that Webster should play before Ellington, and that Barea could start.

Edit: I just remembered there is less games this year, I would say around 15-20 wins in that case.

Webster is out indefinitely because of back surgery. Barea might start in the beginning, but essentially Rubio will be the starter by the end of the year. Randolph is decent, but I wouldn't say he is better then Beasley (Who averaged 19 PPG last season). Ellington will see time, kid can shoot. I guess I am one of the people who is actually excited to watch these guys play. I think that their roster has improved since last year and is the best looking roster they have had since they traded KG. I hope they turn heads this season and make people realize that they can be a good team. Heck, last season they were in almost every game. Only a few times did they get "blown out"

they could excite, but they're gonna lose often this season. a young team that lacks chemistry with a brand new coach that has a system that needs time to be understood in a shortened season? i can name maybe 1 or 2 teams that might be worse than the wolves in the west this season: Hornets and maybe Utah. I doubt the Kings will be as bad as them with a healthy Evans.

They should be really fun to watch. It probably won't equate to a whole lot of wins, but in a few years they will be a playoff team.

Then Love and all the rest of their star players will leave the team for bigger markets and the rebuilding process will start all over again.

First time I'll be watching them again since Garnett was traded.

I'm thinking in the 15-20 range, keeping in mind it's a short season. I wish they would get rid of Webster, who can't seem to stay healthy. If Addleman can get them to play d, they will be okay.
Oh, and Rambis can go f himself. Worst coach in the league in the last decade.

I realize its a short season. But I honestly think they could win 25-30 games this season. Of course, I am basing this off of the roster alone since they haven't played yet, and also it will hurt the team with a lack of Training Camp, but who knows, this team could surprise a lot of people and I am hoping they do!

How many forwards does the Wolves really need?!!
Minnesota Timberwolves sign Bonzi Wells, Malcolm Lee - ESPN (http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/7356189/minnesota-timberwolves-sign-bonzi-wells-malcolm-lee)

Bonzi Wells...I haven't heard that name in FOREVER. Wow.

I think the only reason is because of Adelman, but C'mon man!! Wolves don't need this clone!

Bonzi will get cut, Devean George was on the roster a whole 3 days and got released. Also, Malcolm Lee is a SG. I listed who was on the roster as well according to their webpage..

I think they are going to be tough this year. I voted 30-40 wins. Adleman is 50 times the coach that moron Rambis was. A good coach is all they needed. Wish I would of kept my Beasley collection....

That is straight truth right there. Rambis tried running the triangle with the Wolves and that offense just didn't fit them. I am confident that Adleman is going to improve this team greatly!
