Have this weird feeling Denver will pull this off. I have made threads about Denver Vs. Opponent but never really called a winner/loser. Today that ENDS!! DENVER FTW

Honestly no rhyme or reason. Just think given the circumstances of making the trip, injuries and Denver playing in a playoff game for the first time in sometime..they pull it off. But really its more of a gut feeling.

AFC games will be lobsided, Pitt and Houston win, NFC Games should be good, I say NYG win comfortably and the Lions pull off an upset in a shootout.

I voted for the Lions out of homerism....but I dont see the Saints losing in the first round 2 years in a row....but will be STOKED if the Lions pull off the upset.

A few facts to consider:

Matt Ryan's QB rating is a full 18 points lower away from the comforts of the Georgia Dome. His TD-INT ratio is also 12-7 as opposed to 17-5 at home.

Michael Turner is averaging a yard fewer per carry on the road (3.9) than he does at home (4.9). He also has just 3 touchdowns on the road, 8 at home.

As for the other games, I think Cincy gives Houston a run for their money, Ben Roethlisberger finds enough health to throw well against Denver and the Saints win at home against Detroit. They're $$$$$$ at home (to the tune of 41 ppg).

saints 52 - lions 28 (seriously)
falcons 27 - giants 21 (if the rain/snow then reverse this score)
steelers 31 - broncos 6
houston 31 - cinci 14

Brees breaks yardage record in a playoff game unless he is pulled early.
foster scores 2 rushing and 1 rec. TD

lets see if I can get like 50% right lol

I voted for all the teams in the poll so I would pick the winner in all games.

I have bolded my choices above.

I think the biggest upset would be Atlanta.

Denver seems to have the stars aligning for them. Roethlisberger hobbled, best RB out, decent defender out because of some freak ailment due to evlevation. I don't think they will win but I will not be floored if they do pull out a 7-6 or 6-3 game

I really, really hope Cincy beats Houston ... just so the Patriots get to play Cincy next week instead of the Steelers, though without Mendenhall, they are a little less scary.

I know Houston has a great defense and a great running game.

Its just hard for me to accept that a third string QB can win their first playoff game

wow @ houston getting half the votes of cincy. im not convinced who will win that game myself but didnt think cicny would be 2:1 in votes, and they are the dog in vegas.

I know everyone is looking at QB vs QB and they like dalton, but dont forget about the houston D and foster + tate is as good a duo as the NFL has to offer.

I think the New Orleans-Detroit game will be closer then the 11-point spread. The Lions could pull it off. I think they have the best chance of upsetting anyone this weekend. Calvin Johnson is the best receiver in football and the Saints secondary is weak.

This is coming from a non-Lions fan. I'm a Vikings fan.

Well today is the Lions first playoff game since Janurary 8th, 2000. It's been 12 years.

I would go nutty if they won, but I am not expecting them to. The Saints are a great team and to beat them down there would be a huge upset for the Lions.

Having said that, it's still awesome that the Lions are in the playoffs. As a fan, I forgot how it felt. :o

Seems like a whole of people are high on the Giants this week and I don't get it. I understand the whole away from the dome thing, playoff experience and potential weather issues but I still expect a shootout and the Falcons to win. Giants beat a fading Jets team and a mediocre Dallas team at home to get in so why all the love ?

This game will go to whoever can give their QB time. Both secondaries are crap so it comes down to running and pass rush. Falcons have been a better running team and White, Jones and Gonzo are better then what Eli has right now. I expect Eli to put up some numbers but Nicks drops a lot of balls, Manningham has been invisible and their TE is banged up. Cruz can't do it all by himself.

In the other games I like the Saints, Texans and Steelers. Saints are almost impossible to beat at home and the Lions are too green at this point to win a playoff game there. I expect the two AFC games to be close, defensive type games but if Fox only lets Tebow throw 6 or 7 passes in the first half it could be a long day for the Broncos. They're not going to run all day and expect to beat the Steelers no matter how banged up they are.

I will feel very good for whomever wins the Cincy/Hou game. Cincy = 3 playoff appearances in the last 21 years. This is Houston's first playoff appearance since they've been the Texans (2002). Not much success for either of these franchises.
