Ebay is killing me

I have some auctions ending tonight that include some Ultra redemptions and the Toews ICE is only at $51 with 5 hours to go. I do not get it sometimes. I really need to break down and start listing BIN with BO for my auctions. I had a Erick Johnson ICE end the other day for about $20 and figured it should have at least been $50.

ending on Saturdays is a sure way to have cards sell for less than what they normally would.....

Thursday night between 8-11 pm EST & late Sunday night has ALWAYS been the best time for me.

I agree. Friday and Sat have been the worst days to end auctions for me also. I have had better success with the other days of the week in this order- Sun, Thurs, Tues, Mon, Wed.

i've had some shockingly good sales on Mondays between noon & 3 pm also.

I just assumed more people would be using sniping programs by now. When I want a card I set a snipe and forget about it.
Does not seem to be the case lately.

Just wanted to let you know that there are some nice research sites out there that will tell you the best day, time, catagory and so on for listing your items on ebay. One of them is terapeak.com. Below is a search for the
word " AUTO ". These are the findings for the best day of the week for that word;

Sunday: 56,762 57.89% $43.34
Monday: 32,492 51.85% $53.87
Tuesday: 26,954 52.83% $49.56
Wednesday: 26,488 54.40% $46.40
Thursday: 29,094 55.64% $48.41
Friday: 21,942 50.17% $42.93
Saturday: 26,915 54.28% $40.23

There is another site out there that is called mpire.com.

Yep as you can see Saturday and Friday are the worst.

I am pretty sure the columns are:

Total listings, Sold Listings, % Sold, Average Price of Sold listings

based on those ave. sales prices the best night to end an item is Monday, followed by Tuesday and then Thursday.

But the search was just for the word auto which covers a wide variety including non sports. Look at the recent contests on here for non sports autos. IF you were going to go by one of these data collection sites, it would be wise to narrow your search a bit more.

Maybe do another search like the same....just to see how the numbers on the peticular days match up compared to the word "auto"? Maybe use the key word "Topps"?

If you want you can search for any words that you want, for example you can search for " favre auto topps " in football cards only if you want.
