So I know Panini according to some of you Panini has been lackluster in their customer service department. However, I have had a good experience everytime I have called them and today was no exception. I have a bunch of redemptions for my 2011 Gridiron Gear Rookie Gridiron Gems Trios Prime Signatures #/20 waiting to be filled and I noticed a couple Torrey Smiths surfacing. I called them on Friday and they didnt ship mine out for some reason so they said they would on Friday. So today rolls around and still no package and no update on the website of it being shipped. So I can again and talk to a nice girl and she proceeds to tell me that it will be shipped when the athlete has signed it. I told her well there are already some out there so he obviously signed them lol. So she went to the "stock room" im guessing and she said she had like 2 or 3 left in there and asked me what kind of patches I like. I naturally said the more color the better so the one she picked for me has one patch that is white and purple, one patch that is white, purple and gold and one patch that is I think she said white, gold, black, purple and RED. So I'm assuming its some sort of logo! I'm pretty pumped I guess being nice about it and patient pays off! Just wanted to share my positive experience with Panini since so many people seem to have a negative image of them. I guess I'm just lucky because I never have had a problem.

so let me get this right, they sold you a card in a box they didn't have "REDEMPTION". then didn't ship it to you when they had it, then ignored you again, now they are sending you the card you were supposed to have pulled out the box, but you still don't have it yet, and this is a good thing?

Congrats man, glad they finally pulled through. They seem to be picking it up recently.

actually bought the redemp so didnt pull from a box, therefore your post is irrelevant but thanks though. and fyi they just started sending these out earlier last week so its not like i was waiting forever once other people had received theirs. its a big company they handle a lot of redemptions and the fact that i can call there and generally someone picks up within 3 minutes or so and has helped me out with every problem is a big plus to me over other companies.
on a side not you never seem to have anything positive to say. usually you're a real debbie downer in most posts i remember. maybe this isnt the right hobby for you?
jp- yea they do seem to be picking it up lately which is great! and only paid $55 for that julio ;)

i dont consider calling twice bugging them? they didnt blow me off probably just forgot because i called towards the end of the day Friday. They are sending it Fedex so its here by Friday or so. I got to pick my card with nice patches. I dont get how you wouldnt consider that a positive experience?

Why not just call I don't get it? I usually never email or anything just call and get straight to the point. That way you can find out faster what is going on.

when i called i was told that you have to call them to get a replacement. they do not check posts on reservations made on the internet

lol she just answered the phone "Panini America" she seemed younger a bit of an accent so if someone answers the phone like that its probably her lol

What number is everyone calling to get through so easily? I've called 5 times with the number i have and automative messaga sends me to voicemail in which they havent replied. Thanks to anyone that can give me a number to call.

we buy a few redemption codes from here and other sites we have always have good luck with Panini we do not get in no hurry for them but once a year has pass we contact them by phone and we speak with Terri Martin
she is the best she told me what we had and what we could get for replacement now granted not all was killer card{s}but my son and i are very happy at what she done for us

I'm having to deal with panini for the first time ever since I bought a pack of certified basketball and was shorted a hit (supposedly it was an auto since there was a decoy in the pack). To be honest I'm kind of nervous and wish I knew how they picked the missing hit I get. I mean it could have been any card, from shitty to amazing, but i'm guessing they never send out "top" cards in situations like this

If you pulled a decoy..... that was your hit. They don't put hits in the same packs as decoys. Hence the word decoy.

but totally certified basketball packs have 1 hit per pack. after seeing some breaks on youtube, packs with a decoy are supposed to be followed by a veteran autograph i believe

so i just checked the status on this suppose to be here middle of next week and it said that the package weighed 1 lb lol? I don't think the card itself weighs a pound and im sure they just put it in a normal fedex envelope or something? or do they just put 1 lb. to make sure they cover enough costs for shipping? just dont get why it would weigh a pound?

they do that if the card to be redeemed is a thin card its on a thin redemption with a deccoy in the pack if its a for a thick card then the redemption is a thick card

oh my. i will be in o chem lab when the package arrives on wednesday so i told my girlfriend to open it for me and send me a pic. she will be really disappointed if she has to dig through that lol.
barnsz- i know im curious to see why it weighs one pound too I will post something here once I get the package on wednesday and its not a replacement its a redemption

They put 1 pound, because when you ship fedex or ups you have to round up to the nearest pound. So if the replacement card/s weights 4 oz's for example, they will put 1 pound.

yea i got the card in and just opened the package a few hours ago. kind of disappointed actually like a lot of people on here said i would be lol. first off the lady on the phone described the card to me with the patches and said one of them contained purple, red, white, black and gold so I was thinking it was a logo. Well there is no red on any of the patches. Also she said it was going to be shipped out the following day which would have been last wednesday. It did not ship out until Friday for some reason and they sent me one that is not what they described. Kind of sucks, I will be calling them tomorrow about it and see what went wrong. You think they would want to make me happy since I have about 8 redemptions from the set just waiting to be filled by them.
as far as the 1 lb. postage, there was nothing but the card in there so I'm not sure why they said it weighed a pound but o well.
and another thing the sticker is on there slightly crooked and the back right upper corner is chipped up coming directly from the factory :( its just kind of disappointing.

yea its pretty frustrating when they tell you the exact card you are going to receive then send a different one, unless the person describing the card was color blind lol (most likely not the case since woman are rarely color blind, only usually happens in men). she told me that there was red on on of the patches and i definitely don't see any. also the corner that is white along the back really bugs me too because i asked for the one is great condition and she told me the one she was holding had no corner issues or edge issues or anything :confused: idk i just feel like they gave me the run around, sent a different card then promised, and the card isnt even in the best of shape and the sticker auto isnt on straight. pretty darn frustrating but i will give them a call and see what happens on monday then. i never had these problems back when it was DONRUSS gridiron gear...

Id be happy with that card. Its pretty sick man. I did my first auto set last year with the Freshman Fabric from Certified and I had all of them but 2 from panini because I think 16 were redemptions. It took forever and then all within like a month I got 10 of them or around 10 of them. Now, im still waiting on the Dwyer and McCluster so I am pretty skeptical of doing any sets from Panini crap because they are slow as hell getting autographs out and make it a pain in the as$ just to get the card that you paid for which shouldnt be like that. Im pretty tired of their crap but I love the hobby so I WASTE my money on them all the time still.
I would be more than happy with that Torrey Smith though, I think that is a gorgeous card man.

i have 11 redemptions still pending over a year, a QC claim for 2 missing hits from 2010 contenders that arrived over a week ago and still no reply, and they wont answer the phone. will no longer buy panini

For real, just be grateful you got such a sick card, she might have said red by accident or something. If you call them and bitch at them then they will just look at you as a pr!ck. Not like you have already shown those colors with the addicted thread :rolleyes:

I talked to them about mccluster and dwyer because i still need them for my 2010 gridiron set and they said they still have not signed.
jp98- i figured you would post something negative here, you seem to always be in my thread badmouthing me but its all good i dont care lol. i still havent received the card from him, its been two weeks now. as far as this thread goes you must not have read the thread well. they said a few fridays ago my card was being shipped and that I should have already had it because they shipped his stuff out so it was a mistake on their part. so the following tuesday, no package and no shipping info update so i called them again and they said they didnt ship it and that I could pick the card out I wanted and they would fedex the following day, which would have been wednesday, however they didnt ship until friday. so I'm not complaining about 2 days extra of wait time its just the principle of the thing. they forgot to mail my card out originally, forgot to mail it out again, let me pick the card (card i got was not as described and has some damage to a corner :(, then they forget to ship it again until two days after when it was suppose to ship.
mikeyp- yea im a little disappointed, not because i didnt get the card describe to me but because it has a dinged up corner. I don't mind some corner wear when buying a card off someone or on ebay or on here as long as its not too bad and they advertise that there is some damage, but this card came directly from the company. they had to see that ding on the back or they are just blind. I mean the card came off the line and was just sitting there waiting for a sticker auto. nothing should have happened to it where there would be a corner issue. thats the frustrating part, the condition of the card.
I'm happy with the patches, dont get me wrong. It could be a lot worse, its just not the card that was described to me. Also, the sticker is on a little crooked but I don't know if you guys can see it or not. I will take a scan later on today.

I cannot tell you how many times on Ebay I have won a card for a real good price because of a bad listing, a bad ending time or whatever reason. 2 weeks go bye and no card and a refund is given without explanation. Alot of people on here consider this a "positive" transaction because I was given a refund. I disagree.
