Went and grabbed a box of 2011 Topps Chrome and long story short, pulled this:

PONDER AUTO PATCH /10

Nice hit but upon further look:

A large mark on the front. Not sure if it is glue or a scuff. My question is, would Topps replace this card or would it be something of "equal" value? Thanks in advance for the help!

Hey, I pulled an AJ Green bowman chrome patch auto /10 with the same issue out of 2011 Topps Chrome.

I returned the card to Topps and later received same card (with different #/10) without the scuff mark.

Sorry but i dont believe that..

You are more then likely going to get a "same value" type deal with this card.. if it was a redemption and it came to you like that would have more there to give you but being a live auto i would assume all 10 are in cases elsewhere.. not sure though.. good luck and nice pull

Why would someone lie about something like that? Come on man.

That scuff is a roller mark and will rub right off of the surface of that card and leave no trace.

Give it a shot.

Speaking from experience, I pulled a damaged CJ Spiller 4 color patch out of Threads and they sent me a 4 color patch Spiller but different numbering.

Any tips on doing that? I have the same problem on a lower-end card that has been bugging me.

If it's a foil card like Chrome or several of Panini's products, you can breath on the card (make sure it's fogged up) and use the corner of your shirt to rub it off. It should work.

Use one of the cloths you can buy to clean your glasses. Not the pre moistened ones. Just the regular one.

I bought a Blaster box the other day and the first two cards from every pack looked like that. I was upset at first, because I got a purple Cam Newton refractor out of the box and didn't want to return it. I decided to try to use a cloth on one of the common cards and it came right off, so I did it for the rest as well and they look fine.

was it /10? because when i called topps and panini they both told me that if any damaged card gets reported with a print run of less then 15 they do not carry a backup with a different serial number. Being a card /10 you would have to think that all 10 are out there

That card is so damn nice. Those gold refractors are beautiful. Congrats and glad it cleaned up!
