Was at the LCS picking up the box of 2008 Goudey I had ordered and saw one box of this on the Shelf staring at me at a decent price of $108.
First pack: Team Trios Triple Jersey AFC Jaguars Taylor/Gerrard/Jones-Drew/50 --asking $8 dlvd.
Second Pack: Marcus Smith RC Auto/99- At this point I looked at the shop owner and said "@$%# there goes my auto!! Asking $5 dlvd.
Third Pack- Donnie Avery RPM 3 piece jersey/199 Asking $5 dlvd.
Was Kinda bummed at this point and was waiting for that pick me up and then BOOOOM....
Fourth Pack...MATT RYAN RPM Jersey/Ball/Jersey Auto RC /299!!!!
All cards are FS minus the Ryan (you can thank Guru for requesting a price...). No trades. Must come strong for the Ryan as I live in atlanta and am not against holding it for Next football season.

If interested in pics and to make an offer send me a PM with your email address.

The rules of the forum are that you post prices. I can send you the link to the rules if you need it.

Edited for the sticklers.
That's probably a lost sale with the "sticklers". But you probably don't care. Listing prices on items seems like a reasonable request and rule to me.

Not to mention, your in the wrong section to SELL your cards.

I do sell a lot in the for sale section and always follow the rules.
Didn't know the same applied to the box breaks section. have seen an "all cards FS" (which I initially had and has since been edited) at the end of posts in the box breaks section without those people getting jumped all over. People can make offers if they like, but living in Atlanta I don't feel as if I'll have a hard time getting a decent price for this card. You'd think if somebody had a real interest in the card they wouldn't hassle me about the rules in general and instead ask me nicely for a price on THE ONE CARD THEY WERE INTERESTED IN.
Just trying to share some MOJO...wasn't trying to make a sale.

This is what started it: "All cards are FS minus the Ryan (you can thank Guru for requesting a price...)."
Guru simply asked for a scan and your price(since it's in the rules), then you edit your post with that comment. So your to blame for getting 'jumped on'

I asked him if he had interest a specific card thru PM. Instead of telling me what he was interested in he reffered me to the rules...about 3 PMs later he asked me for a price on the Ryan...which I don't want to do since I don't do much football and have no clue what the asking price is. There is more behind what I said than what is in this thread. I was miffed because he could have skipped 4 steps and jumping on me and just explained he wanted a price on the Ryan. If a mod wants to move this to the sale and trade forum then fine.

I asked for a price on all the cards and I also explained the rules.
Please get your facts strait. I was hoping for a price on the Ryan more than the others, but I didn't know you were going to make it a big deal.
My request was simple... Prices & Pictures. :)!

Again...I'll say it in public...I gave you a price on all the other cards and told you I had no clue on the Ryan since I don't do football and there are no close alternatives on Ebay. Also, am in process of moving for a new job and the scanner is packed up but offered to send you a pic of whatever you liked...
Not going to be bullied into selling a card that I don't know what its worth and nobody is willing to give me a stright answer on what its value is.
I tried my best to answer yoru requests but how come nobody else gets jumped on for not pricing their cards in the box break forums? I was just trying to make the card available if somebody had interest in it. Maybe somebody who has a real interest in it and wants to work with me (i am very reasonable, ask some people I have worked with on the sale boards) will PM me and help me out. I'm not some scammer and the last thing I want now is your money. While your initial questions were simple you were roundabout in your requests and replies. You want a price and don't want to help me even tho its a product and sport I don't keep up with much? Doesn't seem very fair.

I hope this has helped you.
I should not have to price your cards. And in your original post (prior to your editing it) you said all were available for sale.

I did say they were available for sale and stated later in the thread that after I edited it as well. Not trying to hide that fact. My issue is with you jumping on me because I didn't price the one card you wanted for cheap when people say "all cards are for sale" on the box breaks board all the time without harassment
I never said you have to price my cards. If you want it then why not make a reasonable offer and we go from there? All I asked was for some consultation on what a fair price was since I didn't know nor follow it. Thanks for you help in the last post. I am not selling if the card is only going for $100 at this time.

The reason for them jumping on you is simple. You are considered fairly new, therefor you must be punished for you wrong doings! Tsk Tsk to you for not listing your prices in the breaks section! You should have known the loopholes are not true loopholes to the people that slam on their brakes at yellow light causing a chain reaction accident!

thanks. In the only other 2 football boxes I opened all year I got a Joe Flacco auto from Classics and a Romo auto from SPA. Guess I should stick to football now huh??
Did you ever get the 4 score select autos I sold to you??

Hahaha. I mean really. #1 its easter. #2 its pieces of cardboard. I understand the hobby has a money making element to it but it seems I was being pushed to price a card that I didnt know the price of so somebody could get a deal off me. If somebody really wanted it youd think they'd be a little more accomodating?

Not in the thread but in PMs saying constantly that its in the rules. You and 4 other people did the same thing...and nobody would have said a thing if you wouldn't have made a deal baout it and given me the run around. I obviously didn't know the same rules applied on the box break board since I had seen it done before without incident.
Sorry I offended you.
You could have said...hey, I really like the Ryan...PM me with a price and a pic instead of simply asking for prices of the cards you werent interested in as well. I would have explained the same thing I have over and over to you...that I didnt know what to ask since I don't follow it and if you weren't being difficult just to be difficult we could have worked something out im sure. If you don't want to "price" my cards or help...thats your perogative...that shows you didn't want to help me find what it was selling for on Ebay, a fair price, and wanted to pay less im sure.
Thanks to you I now know the rules tho!! Yay!!

However, in Gurus defense... He is a buyer, he jumps on people for prices all the time probably because of the simple fact that he is a buyer. I'm sure that he just wants to buy it w/o having to do the leg work... Think about it, if you walked in to say wal-mart for example, and they said hmmm looks like we don't know the price, please go to Target and come back with a price and we will go from there... I would probably just buy it from Target you know?

Thats very true and I understand that. How am I going to price it if I don't have anywhere to start tho? I looked on ebay and didnt see any other copleted ones yesterday after I broke it on my phone. How am I supposed to know that he isn't going to offer me and instead be hard to work with? Maybe since I didn't know enough about the card I shouldn't have offered it for sale. It would have avoided all this crap to start with. Sorry for making the card available...its not any longer and will be on ice until football season.

I posted this on the baseball board also, but I do not get how you are jumping on this guy, when almost every says something is available. That is no different than saying it is for sale to me. If you are on this guy, get on every single breaker that posts on here. It is the same thing.

He was on me because it was a $$$ card he wanted cheap. He pressed the issue when I told him I didn't know where to price it...hmm...
i know I will not entertain anything from him again.
AND YES...I GUESS YOU HAVE TO SAY THINGS ARE "AVAILABLE" AND NOT FOR SALE.
I came here because i couldn't stand the sticklers and $%(holes on Beckett. I've been here for months doing the same thing and I only get called out when I have a card this guy wants...funny...
I feel that I have only enriched the community here since I have joined. Be it as a buyer, seller or just a poster my interactions have all been positive until today.

Just now figuring this out?
I was not looking for anything special. I simply wanted you to price YOUR card. If you had been too high, I would have counter-offered. Then it would have been up to you to say yes or no. It is really that simple.

Not a bad box. I would think the Ryan may pull 100 give or take 10-15 bucks or so on Ebay, so I'd guess any offers around 85-100 would be legit. Now is not the time to try and get premium $$ for FB as its pretty much dead minus maybe guys heading to different teams or what not. In 4 months, it will pick up.
The reason you saw most guys asking for your price, is it makes it much easier to deal (yes its in the rules, and no its now always followed). In my opinion if its in the box break section, its not required, but you can save a lot of hastles by posting them if your looking to sell them. I could offer you 50 bucks for it, but if your looking to get 125, then I know your wanting to much, so I wouldnt bother, now if your wanting 75, my 50 is much closer and maybe we coud come to a deal. I've always found Guru (and most others) on the board to be fair on trades and/or deals. But at the seller, you have the control, you set the price, if you can't get the price dont sell.

Way to prove how much of an EDIT you really are...
At the point I posted I knew that most Matt Ryan auto memorabilia cards sold for at least $100 and I was right. Just didnt know exactly where to place it to be fair and also get what I wanted. Thought that would be a decent starting point...but since it wasn't in the "rules" I guess you couldn't handle that???
I really wasnt asking you to price my cards. I should have been clear but was looking for more guidance as to what it usually went for and was going to go from there. This situation wasn't helped out by your constant harping for scans and prices and the like...especially after I told you I had no clue on what to put on the Ryan (did you not believe me????). Did you want me to REALLY not know what I had and put $50 on it and have you snap it up and get a deal? Thats crappy if thats what you wanted.
I agree with fish (and so do the rules) that prices are nice but aren't really necessary within the box breaks section. If you can show me a rule GURU that says a price is necessary OUTSIDE of the B/S/T forum that would be appreciated. Just another example of you being an EDIT and trying to bend the rules to suit your need at that point...not saying you ahd a specific interntion but if you had the best in mind for each party would you have not helped me instead of berate me with the "rules" and requests for pictures on cards you don't want? There was a better way for you to handle this and also get what you wanted...and at the least avoid all of this *&#$%ing.

I wouldnt quote me as far as saying they are not required for box breaks. I said "In my opinion if its in the box break section, its not required, but you can save a lot of hastles by posting them if your looking to sell them" Personally unless its a base card without a scan I wont buy. Especially for the RPM's. While the jersey swatches will be plain (spectrums are patches) there has yet to be a "prime" football swatch, and these can add signifcant value to the card. Plus some of the RPM's have different diecuts with the same numbering (NFL, AFC, NFC, etc)..so once again a pic would help.
I do not make the rules, but I asked to enforce them. I'd really not like to put a requirement in here that if your wanting to advertise and sell stuff through the box break forums you need to put an asking price, but we can consder this. My thoughts behind not doing it as I would rather see the box break (info) than worry about soming posting a price.

I do not get why this thread is still going, unless it is to fix something. I really think that the OP might have a point, as there are almost NEVER prices in the box break section, and 80% of people say it is available. That is the same thing this guy said. There is no reason this guy should be flamed upon because he did not have prices. No one ever does here. I know it does get enforced in the BST section as it should be. I have a feeling that it is something a little more fishy than just following the rules.

I can understand why you wouldn't buy without a scan...but I offered him a pic of whatever he wanted and that didnt really do the trick for him either. If I really wanted to sell it a scan would be up. Didn't really feel like taking a blurry camera phone pic up. If you want to put a requirement on the box breaks for a price if things are for sale thats your perogative but I still don't like that I was hounded about this WHEN IN ACTUALITY THE RULE DOESN'T EVEN APPLY IN THIS CASE...
The everything for sale comment at the end was an afterthought...I was excited about my football break sucess (I've only broker 3 football boxes all this year) and wanted to share. It wasn't to sell in this case. I know all about the for sale boards and their rules and have done about $500 in sales there over the past month without a hitch. If I wanted to sell, it would be there. Why was today suddenly a problem? I didn't like how the sitaution was handled by Guru, expressed my displeasure and then get jumped on.
And Guru the name calling was spured on by your rude insinuaitons. Don't backhanded insult me and be a little more understanding of your fellow board members and you wouldn't have this problem...you were being an EDIT and got called out for it. Sorry I didnt handle things the exact by the letter way but thats no reason for me to get jumped on like I did by you (all you said in our first 4 contacts was pictures and scans) without really explaining what you wanted (a shot at the Ryan).
