Is the $10 topps online gift card really this worthless?

So I got the card for redeeming codes. Was gonna buy a blaster of draft or something cheap just for kicks from the Topps store, but, of course, the $11 shipping they charge on EVERYTHING (even a single screw down case) absolutely negates any value $10 off would provide. Ex. If I order a $20 blaster, I get $10 off, and then pay $11 shipping so that it cost the exact same price as if I bought it at Target.

Anyone know of anyway I can use the $10 off to get some sort of deal, or is it just pointless to have?

Yeah, for real. If I'm gonna spend $50, I'll just spent a little more and get a hobby box. Too bad it's all retail only at the Topps shop. What a joke. That was the one thing I was looking forward to among all the crappy stuff I got from redeeming codes.

that's what i did. OP change shipping options to USPS. With the 10 dollar gift certificate tt cost by 13 bucks dlvd for my Magic box.

I bought 4 magic boxes with $10 gift cert and free shipping from UPS. Came out to 69.99 for 4 of them. Hit a DeMarco Murray Cut auto and Christian Ponder SP and more than doubled my money. I would say everything else on the topps site is worthless, but the Magic has some good potential and is relatively new. Also seems like the big case breakers are staying away so there is some eBay resell value.

I think the 2011 Magic Boxes are online exclusive for Topps, so yes they seem like the only value, 4 $20 boxes to get the free 75 and over shipping.
Edit: I see Blowout has them for 19.99 also, but the sell sheet does say Online Exclusive, so theoretically they are not available at retail outlets?

Oh and the other sucky thing is if you checkout with PayPal on the Topps site, you cannot use a gift code.

Thanks for the tip on changing the shipping option, it worked for me. On the last page of Checkout, changed shipping to USPS, boom, $3.12 shipping, I used a gift code and got the 2011 Topps Magic football box delivered for $13.11, I'll take that. :flex:

Unfortunately they never seem to have anything special with Bowman. I got my $10 gift certificate from the diamond giveaway back in July. Forgot all about it until a few weeks ago when I happened to spot a thread about Topps Magic on here. Really glad I checked it out.

Shoptopps only has rack packs, retail boxes and blasters of Bowman. Unless you are impulse buying at Target or Wal-Mart, I feel like I'm better off burning my money than buying blasters. I've bought countless blasters (and wasted my money doing so) and only once have I hit anything worthwhile.

Magic boxes are small. Very, I believe topps baseball cereal box size.

I had 3 $10 coupons from 2011 football and 1 from 2011 baseball spent $13.11 each box hopefully hit a good auto.

I tried to order a pack of toploaders and it wouldn't let me change the shipping. They probably forgot to mark magic off as non-USPS.
