I'm sure many of you have never heard of him, but for those of you who have, have you ever seen any of his memorabilia or autographs sell and what kind of price range are we talking?

Died in 1993 I believe so I'd imagine the market for his autographs would be small

Thanks in advance,

Wow! Hey TDiddy, I was friends with his girlfriend here in Wisconsin(the one who found him dead) and I went to a few of his shows and at The Odd Rock Cafe here in Milwaukee I was asked to substitute for thier drummer who had passed out drunk(I was in a hardcore band at the time). I only really knew a few songs and GG said it doesn't really matter just play hard because all eyes will be on him anyhow. Long story short the drummer came around enough to play the show. I have a lot of old punk stories to talk about if you ever want to chat!

Reading about some of his stage antics I'm glad you're not looking for anything "game used".
This is kind of an interesting question actually, I wonder how many autographs are out there for a guy like him?

Hahahaha. Maybe a stage worn jock strap would fetch a pretty penny.

Same reason why the Hitler auto sold for over 10,000. People are fascinated by terrible things I guess, I dunno. GG Allin is part of music and rock n roll history and whether or not you think he is a psycho, he still has historical significance

Regardless of whether or not you are a fan of his music or his manifesto, the man was absolutely committed to his beliefs, which in it of itself is commendable.

Personally, I just think wha he did was hilarious haha. And he was actually a good hardcore punk musician

Exxxactly. And yeah people get so wrapped up in the controversy the actual music (which is awesome) gets overlooked. I got turned onto the music before I read about him by a good friend of mine and after the initial...ah...shock? :p Wore off I found his antics pretty funny too.

I would think anything autographed would have the inevitable brown and red stains pretty dry and sterile now. :p

I remember watching Politically Incorrect when i was in HS or college and Rob Zombie started talking about his favorite musician. None other than GG Allin was who he spoke about.

Whats commendable is ANYONE's convictions to their beliefs. Regardless of that belief. The conviction is commendable. Not necessarily their actions or beliefs. GG took this to his grave, and never wavered.

The very same could be said about a number of athletes. Ben Roethlisberger? Kobe? Carmelo Anthony? All athletes put up on a pedestal and worshiped despite the things they've done. Not to mention, if you were going to a GG Allin show, you KNEW what was going to happen. If you didn't, well, thats on you.

I see a couple signed letters from GG going for $399 on ebay. A signed album sold for only $99 recently which seems low.

I wonder if PSA can authenticate these? And I wonder if Leaf would do an executive cut of these...or any serial killer/mass murderer for that matter.

John Wayne Gacy supposedly responded to all letters people wrote to him and I know there is a market for that type of stuff. Not something I'd get into, but I wonder what Leaf's philosophical stance on that is

come on , let's be real here . wether or not gg allin was serious about what he was saying or not is beyond me . maybe it was a act i dont know . but you cant compare him to some of these guys you just mentioned . ive heard gg's interviews. the guys sounds crazy . he thinks a girl that gets raped at age 9 ....... is ok ....... because now she will be better prepared for the next time ? he doesnt even like his fans ? says if you have something he wants hes willing to take you out for it ? ha ha the guy is just plain crazy .

I wish I remembered the website, somewhere I read a great quote that was something along the lines of Great White killed more fans in a plane crash then GG ever did. :p Harsh I know but I thought it was funny.

The guy never raped a 9 year old girl, the guy never killed anyone at a show, the guy never robbed a fan, his lyrics reflected many of his opinions to be sure. But they were also just that, LYRICS. There are many bands, many even that are VERY much in the mainstream with lyrics as bad as or worse. I wont post them but Slipknot - Iowa. Eminem - Kim. Two examples right there. Did they ACTUALLY do that stuff? Of course not. Does it shock and piss off alot of people though? ABSOLUTELY.

lyrics and actions are two different things. we all know what took place at this guys shows . he was a scumbag . in and out of jail every 2 minutes. some things you just dont talk about . its not even funny . like saying raping a young girl will only do her good , it will "prepare" her

Heh I think we're just going to end up going around in circles my friend.

And you're absolutely right, some of the things talking about are of a VERY provocative and "wrong" nature. I would NEVER condone rape, or things like that. But I would also never steal a car, or rob a bank, or blow up a hospital. But I am entertained by movies containing such things. Heres the thing. Obviously the guy touched a nerve with you. But thats the WHOLE POINT. To piss people off like you (I don't mean that as an insult, I just see a clear difference in our viewpoints. I am not offended by his lyrics, you and others are. Different minds.) To make you upset. To shock you. The same way Elvis gyrated his hips, the same way Ozzy bit the head off of fake bats (and one real one). Thats just Rock and Roll and how it should be. ANTI whatever is "right". Some of it is indeed very extreme but I guarantee you, 110% that there are FAR worse out there (alot in Europe) that sing about terrible things AND act on them. Allin never raped a 9-year old girl. Did he end up in jail alot? Absolutely. Did he do alot of messed up things? Absolutely. But in you getting riled up, angry, and thinking him a scumbag, he did exactly what he wanted to do. NOT be liked by you and to piss you off. Again I don't mean ANY of this in a confronting or insulting manner, just describing how I feel on the subject.

I remember this guy back in the day...never was a fan, but I watched the train wreck play out...dude obviously had a mental issue...was sort of a sad situation, but since he was a functional punk kinda guy i guess no one took it seriously? I dunno?

The whole piss & poop thing was just wrong.

There is some fat chick around here that drives an old beat up honda civic that has his name spray painted all over it...i see it at the post office every now and then.

I'd guess just a signed cut sig would go for $50-$100.

Hmmm...that's about all I have to add to the conversation lol.
