I usually buy 2 cases of cards per year and they are Upper Deck Series 1 and SP Authentic. Are these 2 cases a good decision? Do you recommend another kind? I obviously want to buy a case of The Cup but they are way to expensive.

SP Authentic and UD Series 1 or 2 are great case breaks. You are doing fine. Can't go wrong there. SP rookie autos have great resale and are prime autos to have.
If you want to try a case break from a nice product at a decent price, I would go with 10/11 Dominion. Personally, I loved this product. Alot of people will disagree. But the card design was nice and there are tons of game used and autos from players of today and the past. Big thumbs up in my book!
Best of luck with your breaks!

From what I understand, Artifacts has redemptions and SPA does not. I have never bought Artifacts before. Is it worth a try or just wait until SPA is released?

Artifacts is a great break. It's hovering under $100 safe. UD Series 1 is nice, less auto's but the Young Guns are a fun chase. SPA is nice because of all the autos. If you can afford, Dominion is great. It's considerably less than the Cup at this point, and you can flip it nicely. I'd consider something like Limited also, Limited has put out nasty stuff this year. Stay away from Certified, Black Diamond, and things like O Pee Chee, etc.

Yeah, stay away from O-Pee-Chee. It's only the best guaranteed money maker across all releases in all sports.
