I was lucky enough to pull a gold auto of Harper. Under magnification all looks perfect. I know I make more selling raw unless I get a 9.5....Can I send for grading and ask that if it does not make a 9.5 then send back unsealed. Also, if I receive a 9.5 from card show and send in do they honor that grade minimum? Not sure if I take $1800 now or the $2300 to $2500 graded 9.5...who knows, maybe it gets a 10 pristine...thanks for any help

You can min grade it any grade you want (I would do 9 on that card personally), and they will send it back to you in a penny sleeve and top loader, insurance, protected, etc. A BGS 9 is not going to hurt that cards value at all, IMO, it may not give you much of a premium over a raw card, but a little with such a low numbered parallel. It also gives you protection when selling the card as there is no questions about condition, and could save you the headache of a pain in the azz buyer. Good luck! :)!

I would hesitate to sell ungraded with the horror stories I hear sellers dealing with. However, I believe the last 2 raw golds got $1600 and $1800 respectively and the graded 9 just under $1400...sad but true.

The one with the 9 grade ended on Jan. 23rd, when Harper stuff hadn't started heating up yet. I can bet that buyer will make a nice flip here in a few weeks, as his stuff has already started going up (if he/she didn't re-sub to BGS already anyway), base autos are around $300 now, and at that time you could get them for $200 or less.
Good luck with it whatever you decide! :)!

Nice grades!
As for the gold Harper, I wouldn't put a min grade. It's so easy to crack them-just don't see any benefit. GL!

I have no clue how to crack and not risk damage. Supposedly my lcs has an expert. I agree that asking for a minimum may set me up for extra scrutiny of this card. It is great to pull a monster but now feeling stress of not messing this up....trust me it is a burden I will take but stressful either way....
