eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices (http://www.ebay.com/itm/251004121009?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT)

So I want this card and just got outbid. I bid a huge price for this and I'm very surprised I was outbid. I checked the bids and its private. Anyway to know if this was shilled?

maybe they jacked it up to 75 to get the bonus card?

Private listings after eBay started masking bidders account is a big red flag IMO. As far as I know there is no way to get around the private listing and see who is bidding.

I heard rumors that if you log into eBay Australia, they don't mask the accounts due to Australian law, but I have never tried it and i don't know if it gets around the private listing stuff.

it might be shill bid. probably is. This is why you take advantage of sniper services. I never place any early bids. If I want a card I will go to Gixen and put my max bid in there. If I win it cool, If not whatever.

It helps prevent from impulse bidding too. Most of the time I win the card for much less than my max bid if I was really serious about winning the card.

Nah look at the times of the bids. Thats why I think it could be shilled. I bid it up $40 from the last bidder and in a few seconds it went way past that

If I were you I would contact seller and negotiate to see how much they are expecting. Then once you know what he is expecting for it, you can better determine if he is shilling it or not vs what others have sold for recently. Works everytime.........if they respond

Gonna be one of two things. They made it private to mask Shill bids. Someone thought the bonus Patch Auto could be a $$25-$30+ card alone and bid it too $75, figuring they are getting each card for $35-$40 each thus worth their $75 bid.
