View Full Version : Where to dispose of wax boxes from 89-90??? (donruss/bowman)

So here's the dilemma...bought a mid-size collection recently that included several boxes of 1989/1990 donruss and bowman wax boxes. There may be a couple 1988 fleer boxes too. Overall I would say 30-40 baseball, several factory sets (1988, 1990, 1991, 2007)...also case of 1991 upper deck football; case of 1990 score football, couple 1988 topps football as well as cases of 1992 o-pee-chee football, 94/95 parkhurst, and factory sets...
I know nothing about the hockey, but know there are Griffeys in the 1989 baseball, but that's a ton of packs to go through....it would be different if this guy had current packs/boxes, I'd rip through all that! So just fielding this to see what others would do.
*****I am not trying to sell them on here, I know it's against policy*****

eBay, or craigslist. That's all I can think of.

If the boxes and the case are sealed you can talk to Blowout and some of the other wax sites that buy sealed stuff!

Yeah these were my first choices....I just didn't know if someone had a different avenue of disposing boxes. My next thread will be concerning base/insert/commons....I would like to think I have over 500,000 cards in my garage now!!

Jeez haha. try to find a dealer. My LCS pays $50 per 5000 for year 2000+. You could do COMC, sportslot. That's a lot though.

I did a card show about a year and a half ago and sold about 100 boxes and sets from 88-90 for $3 each. 88 Fleer actually can be sold on Ebay for a fair price.

Your thread is about boxes, ergo my question :)
Looking for cases of those 2 years. least you dont have to sweat the autos authenticity. Much easier than trusting PSA or JSA ...or Upper Deck :P
