Why is there not much going on with Matt Flynn? Dude has played great every time he has come in to a game...last time out he set a bunch of records...only a couple of teams looking at him though, and one of them is denying it (Browns)?
Whats the deal here?

Teams are waiting to see where manning goes first. This man speaks the truth.
I love that the first round pick of one draft is out of the league and his collegiate 7th round back up is looking at signing a huge deal.

Flynn looks like he could be the real deal to me though...of all the others that have been in this situation Cassell, Kolb, etc...Flynn just looks like he could actually be a starter and a top QB in the league...and he's young with some experience...I just don't get it i guess....seems like a no brainer to me.

i dont want the browns to sign him, hes good, but not a drastic upgrade over colt mccoy, also struggles with the deep ball, if it wasnt a $50 million contract then maybe, but that probably wont be the case

Aren't the Seahawks looking pretty hard at Flynn or did I dream that up?

So you're saying that the guy has played great in what the 2 games he appeared? One of which was the last week of the season against a horrible Lions defense who sat some starters? Of course he tore it up the Lions D was pathetic.
Flynn was a mediocre college QB and I don't think he will be much in the pros. Like someone posted above he screams Kevin Kolb to me. Guy played a few games against crappy defenses and preseason games and all the sudden he is getting WAY more money than he deserved.
I pray that the Dolphins don't get him, I like Matt Moore since we probably are out of the Manning race since Reggie Wayne signed with Indy and Garcon with the Skins.
Matt Flynn= Overrated. Mark it down all of you guys who are so high on Flynn because he looks good in the preseason and posts huge numbers against horrible D's that sat out starters will be disappointed with how he performs wherever he goes.

Hey dipshit, the Lions werent resting starters in that game bro
I'm waiting for all of the Packer honks to come tell me how it was such a great idea to Franchise Tag Flynn now. Bet you're glad that didn't happen now.
The guy's playing career isn't long enough or comprehensive enough to merit this kind of adulation.

This. If the dolphins shy away from flynn having worked with him for years imo that's all you need to know about him.

I wouldn't put my team into the hands of a QB who has only played like 3 games, Doesn't scream smart to me ..

I'm a born and raised Packer fan and here's my asessment of the guy:
You put anyone like Flynn with basic accuracy into a spread offense of the caliber that Green Bay has... and of course he'll flourish. Not every NFL team however has 5 WR's who can play any route on offense and I just don't think his skills will transfer well to another team. GB has a lot of weapons and I'm confident you could even put Tebow in there and he'd have success.
I'm not trying to take away from him or Rodgers but it's the truth. Rodgers obviously plays well in the GB offense and it suits his skills in a way that will make them a statistical wrecking crew for years to come. However, Flynn isn't going to find that repertoire on many teams in the NFL and the ones he's being scouted by definitely don't have them.

So no RG3 or Luck,
Flynn has an NCAA National Championship and pro success everytime he's been asked to perform.

I'd rather want a vet running my team over luck or RG3, but I don't consider flynn a vet.

Flynn may have been a mediocre college qb but before Brady went down cassell didn't start a game sine highschool and he's doin alright

Honk honk. Well the only way that would have worked is if we had a deal worked to sign and trade him immediately. However this is besides the fact that our GM plays by the rules or at least the spirit of the rules, which such things would violate.

I believe Flynn is in Seattle today for a visit. He may or may not be top-flight QB material (only time will tell), but if the Hawks can sign him to a cap friendly deal, he will make for nice competition for Tarvaris Jackson.

lol, how'd i know you'd twist it to make it seem like anyone said tagging Flynn was a foregone conclusion?
We "Packer honks" were saying that tagging him was an option IF a deal could be completed to trade him. Since Ted couldn't work anything out, he wasn't tagged. You said there was no way he could be tagged. That was incorrect and you were already given reasons why.

See: Corey Williams.
If there was a deal to be had, our GM would have made it. ;)

well...when the Throw Boy can hang around the league forever, then I would think someone like Flynn would be in demand? You can't knock the guy for who he got to play against and doing well. He did what he was supposed to do?
I am just surprised more teams are not looking at him.
And to be honest, whoever knocked him for not getting the ball up the field well...one, I don't see that...and two, you don't see as many deep shots these days as you did in the past...it's a lost art...maybe a couple a game for most teams?

the lions played their starters the whole game, he ripped them to shreds in the second half after he calmed down

flynn led the lsu tigers to the national championship and won, hard to say this is mediocre
I pray that the Dolphins don't get him, I like Matt Moore since we probably are out of the Manning race since Reggie Wayne signed with Indy and Garcon with the Skins.
the dolphins had an incredible offense, and a better defense last year, the only things that held them down, was lack of a good qb. moore only looked good because the rest of the team is awesome!!!

matt flynn=probably one of the top 10-15 qb's in the league
where the heck do you get your information from anyway??
