I wouldnt do it. Although Scottys are nice(I had one for a little while), I dont see a big enough advantage using a Scotty over a $100-$150 putter. Im guessing you could get $250ish on the Watt. I think a lot of people get Scottys just to say they have a Scotty. But anyone can get used to any putter and putt well. Its a feel club.

Since I just play a cheaper mallet putter and similar to a blade putter for chipping from fringe/woods, is it worth the expensive putter? Have pretty good success with a cheaper putter, seems like the alignment with the stripe on the ball is most important.

Agreed. I think the quality of drivers, irons, and wedges are more important than the quality of putter. Give me a $40 putter and two days on the practice greens and I think I could putt pretty well with it. If you like the feel of the Scotty though, and nothing else even comes close, then itd be worth the extra $$$, but if you can find a putter with a similar feel, then do that and save the money.

I agree that anyone can be good with just about any putter, but I have a Scotty and it has the most buttery feel...definitely worth playing a couple rounds with one if you haven't. It's not necessary, but so nice to have and in my opinion feels like nothing else.

Well put. Dont disagree with anything. Ive met some people though that just dont like the feel of a Scotty. The putter is all about feel in my opinion. I love Scottys too, but then I think to myself that I could have a nice $120 putter and $150 cash, or a $250-$300 putter. To me, Id prefer to save the money and just practice with the other one and get the feel down. To others, it may be different. The putter can save a lot of strokes though so if you really like the feel of the Scotty, then its a worthy investment.

I haven't had too much experience with higher-end putters, but if you take the time to squat and line the ball up to the hole, you should be able to hit it straight along the marking on the ball with any putter if you're half decent.

Haha, yeah. I totally agree. I always take my time and line up the ball. If theres a line in the center of the putter, you should be able to get the ball to the hole with any putter if youre decent.

Well I'm a scratch golfer and I guess a hopeless blade putter fanatic I guess I should say, and looking for around 400 in value out of this...some of the NAPA putters go for a lot...as you can see below, I am looking between the 250-400 range...with sight line on top...

scotty napa | eBay (http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sadis=200&_ipg=50&LH_SALE_CURRENCY=0&_from=R40&_sacat=0&_samihi=&_samilow=&_fpos=&_udhi=&_oexkw=&_udlo=&_adv=1&_nkw=scotty%20napa&LH_Complete=1&_dmd=1&_okw=&_fsct=&_sop=16)

If you want the putter, get it. I'm sure it won't disappoint you. It's a heckuva putter. I just don't see enough advantages of a putter like this over a $100-$150 putter to spend the extra money.

I have often considered putting high-end cards up for trade for Scotty Camerons...I love those putters. I currently play with a Circa 62 #6 (https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rlz=&q=scotty+cameron+circa+62+%236&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=a490T5uNCeLL0QHuoP3_Ag&biw=1366&bih=653&sei=bo90T4nkDMHW0QHi1-T_Ag)

I think you can do a magnet test to make sure. My buddy told me a bunch were faked so I freaked and had a ton of anxiety before I did mine lol.

yeah they are getting faked all over the place, my best friends dad got me mine from his club for $229 brand new :flex:

for those of you saying you wouldnt buy a scotty, dont knock it til you try it, its get the best feel out of anything ive ever tried, also wondefully made with top notch stainless steel and its got an incredibly soft feel too it, especially mine, since its precision milled

True, if you want to play with the best this is it. They are cut from a solid block of stainless, not cast, milled, made in the USA, and can be customized which is more expensive than the putter itself...the circle T GSS putters are very expensive, some on ebay now are asking 5k and the 8200 lol..

Back to the topic at hand, anyone interested in the JJ for 4 bills?

If you want a real Blade putter Hand Made for you check out T.P. Mills Co.. They were making Hand Made putters for Tour players and Presidents when Scotty Cameron was still pooping in his diaper. I owned 75 of them so I know. Owned 21 Scotty's until I smarted up and started buying other brands. Most mass made Scottys are rumored to be Skim Milled so a whole other story but if you want a Cameron Napa more power to you. Best of Luck!

Like the way the Napa looks moreso than the TP Mills design. The Napa is not mass produced like others they put out from what I gather which is why the high price tag on most. All about looking at something you like...:D

JJ watts 400? LMK
