I've been a Twins fan for many years, like 30. Never have I seen a team struggle so bad away against another team. In this case the Yankees. Over the last few years the Twinkies have won only 3 games in New York. Why do you think this is? Post your thoughts?
As I Promised: Here are 3 of my Puckett RCs, and a couple other nice Game-Used in my PC.

Maybe they use up all of their good baseball against the Tigers who they have no problem frustrating on a yearly basis?
I can't imagine that the Twins are nervous and overwhelmed by the Big Apple itself.

The Rangers over the last 4 years are like 2-12 in Detroit so don't feel bad...

Todays loss dropped the Twins' record at Yankee Stadium to 3-23 since the start of the 2002 season. Being a Minnesota sports fan is tuff, with the Wolves and Viks having crappy seasons we just need something to smile about.

Well the Twins came into a red hot Yankee team at home, what can you expect. You knew on Friday night that it was going to be a tough series when you had one of the best closers in the game blow a save, just like the Yankees best closer ever blew a 2 run save against the sox and they got swept.

Yeah true. They did run into a team that is heating up...though the M & M boys are no slouch! They put up a good fight but it just didn't happen. I predicted NYY to win this series 3/4 but only because we are finding our rhythm again.. because prior to this series we've played horrible, esp the pen!
Though I can't help but think what the Twins would've been like if they still had all the players that left them..like Hunter, Ortiz (prior to his struggles of course!), Garza, Santana etc.. wow!

If they only had the money to keep the "talented guys", but even M & M will more than likely want more money then the Twins can offer. Tonight I think I will scan by Puckett RCs for everyone to see, haven't shared them since I received them. Thanks for the posts and keep Baseball Alive.

Puckett was a "Baseball Player", like many others during that time he loved the game, not the glory and money. I miss those days, but still enjoy taking the kids to the Ballpark.

I am a Twins fan myself and can't understand why we can't get some decent middle pitching. Teams seem to T off on us after the starters are done. Just lost another one against the White Sox tonight. Baker, whom I've never had much faith in, had a terrible outing. If we lose either Mauer or Morneau some day, we will be in the pooper. Minnesota will always be small market. Our fans seem to be satisfyed with winning the division from time to time. We'll see how the new stadium goes over next year. I still think they should have gone for the retractable roof, instead of no roof at all. Although, anything is better than the big inflatable toilet (Metrodome).
