First the team gets blown out by the Twins in a game that looked like a football score and not Peavy rejects the trade that the Sox and Padres agreed on. I wonder if Peavy's decision had anything to do with the egg laid by the white sox today. It's hard to convince yourself a team is a contender when you flip on the TV and they are losing by 20 runs.

No need to rip on the Chisox...they will rebound. Besides its the lesser of two evils really AFAIC....they both aren't performing too well right now and their record shows it because they BOTH are trying to stay out of last place at the moment!....currently the CLEVELAND INDIANS hold the last place spot...I'd be more worried about that right now!

20-0 is a rough way to start a game. Thank goodness the ChiSox found intestinal fortitude and clawed back to put one on the board (and lose 20-1).
Joe Mauer is off to an incredible start with a .417 batting average and 8 Home Runs in just 72 At Bats. He can go 0 for his next 28 and still be hitting .300.

I think the real reason Peavy passed on the White Sox is he found out how the ballpark is a launching pad in the Summer. With Peavy being a fly ball pitcher that is a bad combo.

I'm guessing the Sox were just a tiny bit distracted today and the score showed. Peavy supposedly wants to stay in the NL so maybe it wasn't just because of the WhiteSox that he turned down the deal.
Red Sox showed the Jays who was boss in the East though :)!
Phils - Yanks this weekend. Whats the over under for combined runs in those games with both teams pounding the ball lately :D
