my latest addition is a 1998 press pass reflectors #1. i had this one already but it didnt have the "peel" so i picked this up to replace it. these were hard to get in 1998 let alone now. they dont show up too often with the peel still on. id like to thank cmcjr99 for this pick up.

my second addition is a 1998 metal precious metal gems #189 (#/50PMG). these are impossible to find. i paid a lot of money for it but i think it is worth every penny. it has a small ding on the bottom left corner but i don't care its mine finally! lol

my latest buy is a 1998 press pass sportsfest autograph (no stamp). there were 2 different versions of this card and 500 made total. they were both given out in 1998 at 2 different shows. this one with no "stamp" was given out at a show in philadelphia as a wrapper redemption. a few months later there was a show in chicago and they gave away the same autograph as a wrapper redemption and they "crimped" these with a "chicago 1998" stamp. not sure how many of each there are, but most of the ones i see have the "stamp". top card is the "no stamp" and the bottom one is the "chicage stamp" for reference. thanks again for looking!

my latest find is a 2000 collector's edge peyton manning destiny holofoil silver foil #PM36. now the difference in this card and the regular holofoil is the foil on the front is silver, not gold. this is the first one i have ever seen and didn't even know it existed until i saw it for sale on ebay. i added a picture of the "regular" holofoil to show the difference.

its been awhile since i picked up anything new. so heres my latest addition, it is a 2002 ud graded jerseys gold #g1-mn (#/15). as you can see from the pic, it contains a college jersey swatch. why they would waste a college jersey on this card is beyond me. it would've been better served on a card that pictured him in his college uniform. oh well. i'm just glad to have it.

here is my newest purchase. it is a 1998 leaf rookies and stars crusade red #66 (#/25). this cost me a TON of money and i think it is worth every penny. these late 90's inserts are on fire and i had to pick it up when it was offered to me. as you can see it is a gem mint 9.5 and it is also his college jersey number #16/25. great addition to the collection. now i am on the lookout for a 1998 skybox thunder super rave #239 (#/25 super rave). these are hard to find too.

well i'm back with a new purchase. its been awhile since i have gotten anything new but something finally popped up on ebay. this time it is a 1998 revolution rookies and stars gold #15 (#/50). these are SUPER hard to find and it is a psa 10 to boot. i have been collecting college uniform mannings since about 2000 and this is the first one i have seen for sale. well enjoy the view and please let me know if any of you come across anything i may need. they are getting harder and harder to find as my wantlist is down to a lot of 1/1's and numbered to 25 or less. now i am looking for a 1998 skybox thunder super rave. thanks for looking.

here is my newest card find. it is a 1998 Press Pass Reflectors #R50. these are soooo hard to find. it only books for $38.50 in the beckett but they always go for between $300-$400 when they surface. i've only seen a few of these for sale and they rarely have the "reflector shield" still on them. i am so happy to add this to my collection. now i'm really looking for a 1998 skybox thunder super rave #239 (#/25 SUPER RAVE). if anyone out there ever sees one please let me know. thanks again for looking.

ok. here is a HUGE pickup for me. this is a 2010 spx shadow box autographs #SB-PM. i've heard from multiple sources that these were never made and inserted into packs. i even took it off of my wantlist. well i just picked it up off of ebay and the seller said he received it as a "replacement" from upper deck. so i'm guessing that they made it but never put it into packs and then they decided to give it away as a redemption replacement. i have no idea if it is a 1/1 or if there are more but i'm guessing there can't be many floating around. this is an awesome card to say the least and i am very happy to add it to the collection. if anyone else out there has an autograph from this set, please let me know. i have never seen any other 2010 spx shadow box autographs for sale. i'm wondering if mine is the only one. thanks for looking as always.

my newest find is a 1998 Fleer Tradition #235 printer's proof. this is slightly larger than the regular card and doesn't have any of the gold foil printing on the front. the back is the same as the regular card. i have included a picture of the front and back of the regular Fleer Tradition #235 to show the difference. i would think this came from the fleer bankruptcy but i'm not sure. hopefully it is a 1/1 and i am so glad to have it for my collection. as always, thanks for looking.

back with another addition to my peyton manning collection. this is a blank back 1998 ultra series 1 proof sheet that the company used to make corrections, etc., before sending the cards to press. this came from the fleer bankruptcy auction several years ago. the sheet is 11x17 that is folded in half to make an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet that would fit into a folder. the sheet features the front of 12 cards from the 1998 fleer ultra series I set, including the peyton manning rookie. according to a former fleer representative who was involved with these, there were "way less than 10" of each sheet produced. i think the cool thing about this sheet (card) is it says "Rookie" under peytons name instead of "Indianapolis Colts" as it appears on the regular card. thats what sold me on buying it. as always, thanks for looking.

my latest buy is a 1998 press pass autographs (chicago stamp). they "crimped" these with a "chicago 1998" stamp just like the 1998 sportsfest autographs. there are 2 different versions of this card. the "regular" autograph was a redemption in 1998 press pass packs and this card according to the seller i got it from was given out randomly in gift bags to vip's at the 1998 national. supposedly there were only 50 made. he also said they stamped 50 autos for ryan leaf also. well thanks for looking and i appreciate you taking the time to look at my new additions. chris

hello everyone. i have 2 new finds this time but one is too big to scan. it is a 2000 COLLECTOR'S EDGE PEYTON MANNING DESTINY SILVER HOLOFOIL UNCUT SET SHEET which is autographed by peyton. this sheet has the edge pm36 card on the sheet. the other one is from the same set. it is a 2000 COLLECTOR'S EDGE PEYTON MANNING DESTINY BLUE 75 #PM36 (#/75). this is a parallel to the 2000 COLLECTOR'S EDGE PEYTON MANNING DESTINY #PM36. these seem to be harder to find than the other parallels that were made. as always, thanks for looking.

Well i'm back after a few months. I've finally found a new card to add to my collection. I wayyyyyy over paid for this card but i haven't gotten anything new for months and I was anxious. It is a 2009 BOWMAN DRAFT ALL-STAR ALUMNI COMBOS BRONZE #AAC3 (#/99) (WITH JEROD MAYO). Why this card was hard to find is beyond me since it is numbered out of 99. my newest addition was actually in my "collection" for quite awhile and i didnt even know it. this "hang tag" is from a 2012 plush bleacher creature doll that i had of peyton sitting on my bar. i was sitting watching tv and noticed the tag and thought that would make a good "card" to add to my collection. although i didnt remove it too carefully, i think it fits nicely. thanks for looking and please let me know if anyone has any rare mannings in his UT uniform.

The second one is a 2009 BOWMAN DRAFT ALL-STAR ALUMNI SILVER #AA3 (#/50). Numbered to 50 but SUPER hard to find. hey everyone. i'm back with 3 HUGE additions to my manning collection. the first 2 cards were from a set that never got released in 1998. they were all supposedly "released" when pinnacle closed the doors half way through 1998 and someone bought the "stock" and resold them. the third one (the score) was "released" the same way when score closed. the first one is a 1998 PINNACLE INSCRIPTIONS AUTOGRAPHS (NOT NUMBERED). i know there's actually another one of the these pinnacle inscriptions actually hand numbered 1/1 that's graded a beckett 9.5. the one i bought isn't numbered on the back. (probably a replacement in case someone returned the original 1/1). beckett calls this version #10 and the one hand numbered 1/1 #9. so there's essentially a pinnacle inscriptions hand numbered 1/1 and a pinnacle inscriptions (not numbered) (1/1). beckett lists 2 cards (#9 and #10) but really it's just the hand numbered 1/1 and the "non numbered". kinda weird they'd do that but you know how beckett is. the next one is a 1998 PINNACLE INSCRIPTIONS PEN PALS (WITH RYAN LEAF) (NO AUTO) (NOT NUMBERED). and the third one is a 1998 SCORE ROOKIE AUTOGRAPHS (1 OF 500) (NO AUTO). i think all 3 of them are essentially 1/1's. i don't think there is any other ones like them out there. if you look on the graded card lookup, there's only one of each graded. all 3 were "resubmitted" and "reslabbed". i was convinced that these 3 cards didn't actually exist. i think beckett graded them and then added them to the price guide. i bet they didnt know about them until they graded them. i've been collecting peyton manning college cards since his rookie year and i have never seen another one like them. i am pretty poor now cause they cost me a TON of money but i am super happy to have them in my collection. well as always, thanks so much for looking and if anyone knows were there's a 1998 skybox thunder super rave of peyton, please let me know. i still need that one.

yea, I know the feeling...... I had been long after the 1998 ex essential credentials /54 manning rookie...... that thing had eluded me for about 6 years; one of which I lost on auction for 800 and one earlier on that I saw BIN 350 and didnt even offer since I though it was too high (really smart move on my part).... ended up getting one a week before this season for 1200. Guy said if it didnt sell by opening day he would just put it away until the playoffs, I just had to have it. So look at it this way, yours is numbered lower than the credentials and you got a better price than I did; haha..... plus you have been looking for years, Im sure the gratification was sweet the day it arrived.

oh man. that feeling of finally finding that one card you've been looking for forever. I remember talking to you about the ex card and I saw one on ebay (probably the one you got) and I couldn't for the life of me remember who the heck I was talking to about it. I went as far as to look at all of my posts and still couldn't figure it out. it killed me to not remember who wanted that. yea, I know the feeling...... I had been long after the 1998 ex essential credentials /54 manning rookie...... that thing had eluded me for about 6 years; one of which I lost on auction for 800 and one earlier on that I saw BIN 350 and didnt even offer since I though it was too high (really smart move on my part).... ended up getting one a week before this season for 1200. Guy said if it didnt sell by opening day he would just put it away until the playoffs, I just had to have it. So look at it this way, yours is numbered lower than the credentials and you got a better price than I did; haha..... plus you have been looking for years, Im sure the gratification was sweet the day it arrived.

The ex credentials I got was a BGS 9 (unfortunatley) and someone BIN at 800 bucks within like 4 mins of the time it was listed. I contacted said individual and we came up with 1200 as a number we both liked.... I mean I would love to make 400 on a 10 hour flip, wouldn't anyone? haha. So that was the story on that one. I need to get a look at flickr I suppose, haven't really been much on photobucket of late...... and just as a tease.... I do own the manning/ryan/brees sp authentic auto /3 you have on your list. I would consider it one of my 7-8 untouchable items, but that quad with favre and mcnabb is sweet... I would have been in a huge rush to pay 500 for it; not sure what you paid but whew; very slick card

that's never happened to me actually. no one has ever offered me anything on anything that I've bought. lol. ya flickr is so great. it took me a minute to figure it out but once I did it was awesome. I actually paid double what you would of paid on the favre/ manning auto. it was an over pay but I wasn't going to let it sit there. I actually offered him like $700 and waited for like an hour and he didn't reply and I couldn't stand it any longer. I was so scared. I just hit the bin for $1000. glad I did but a lot of cash for that card. its an awesome card though.

just wanted to show off my newest manning I found. this is a ticket stub from 2006 when Tennessee retired peytons #16. this is one of my favorite mannings I have. I just love when he is on tickets and schedules. these must be hard to find because it's the first one I've ever seen. the "16" on the front is a hologram! well thanks for checking it out. hope you think it's as cool as I think it is. lol

I can't believe what showed up on EBAY last week..... we were just talking about that SPx Manning, Favre, McNabb, Brees quad auto /3....... someone put up the 1/3 which just happened to be a BGS 9.5. I had mentioned hoping to pay 500 for it and then you told me what you had paid. I was fully expecting to pay in the 800-1000ish ballpark or higher but instead it ended at 575 and I have it in hand....... such a beautiful card; unfortunately McNabb and his foolish self couldn't sign completely on the sticker so it got an Auto score of 9..... but everyone else did and all the sigs are clean.

That saturday stars auto /4 is one of the cards I just always wanted to have..... such a great design and jersey/auto placement....... is there a patch version of that numbered to 1 or 2..... I can't recall?

I never get upset for overpaying for a card. with the low numbered cards that I need, sometimes they will never show up again and I'll miss them. sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. good job on the pickup. that's awesome that you won! its a great card.

just added a new card to the collection. it is a 2009 TOPPS MAGIC AUTOGRAPHS #17. these are so hard to find it isn't even funny. they have a stated print run of 25 but they aren't numbered. I saw one in 2010 for sale and haven't seen one again until this one popped up on ebay. super happy to finally get my hands on one. as always, thanks for looking.

hey everyone. back with another great card. it is a 2014 UPPER DECK LAS VEGAS INDUSTRY SUMMIT AUTOGRAPHS #LV-PM. these were given out at the 2014 las vegas industry summit a few weeks ago. they were given out by upper deck in a "black box" to diamond dealers. you only got one card and they were all autographed. upper deck said on their site that the manning is an SP. not sure how many are out there but it can't be many. well thanks for looking and I appreciate all of the great comments.

the newest addition is a 2000 DONRUSS PREFERRED POWER GRADED SERIES #42 (1 OF 30) (#/300). I saw this on ebay and never even knew it existed. I'm not sure if the sticker is right or not but it says 1 of 30. so I guess there are 30 of these out there. extremely hard to find since I've been collecting mannings for over 10 years and I have never seen one before. well thanks for looking and I'm sure I will have more updates from the 2013 fleer retro. peyton is supposed to have 21 cards in the set. should be fun!

Hey everyone. I have been very busy adding to my Manning collection. These cards are all from the 2013 Fleer Retro release and the last three are from the new 2014 Upper Deck. I have worked long and hard on adding these new cards to my collection. I have 21 of the 23 cards from retro and I am only missing the two 1/1's. my newest purchase is a 2010 SPX SUPER SCRIPTS AUTOGRAPHS QUAD #SS4-FMMB (#/2) (WITH BRETT FAVRE, DREW BREES, ELI MANNING). first time I've ever seen this card and its only numbered to 2. favre collectors like to spend a lot of money so I was lucky to land this one. as always, thanks for looking and good luck in whatever you collect.

well 2013 exquisite released and there are 8 different cards in the set. I think Upper Deck is going to kill me this year with Peyton's cards. I have already gotten 3 of the 8 and here they are. the first one is a 2013 EXQUISITE COLLECTION #16 (#/70) base. the next one is a 2013 EXQUISITE COLLECTION ENSEMBLE 2 SIGNATURES #EE2-ML (#/15) (WITH ANDREW LUCK). this is my first Luck auto and I'm glad to finally have one. I think he will be one of the greatest qb's ever when it is all said and done. the last one is a 2013 EXQUISITE COLLECTION MAGNIFICENCE #EM-PM (#/10). I have purchased a couple more but haven't received them yet. I'll post them as soon as I get them. as always, thanks for looking.

hey! just added 2 more cards to my collection. the first one is a 2013 EXQUISITE COLLECTION DIMENSION AUTOGRAPHS #D-PM (#/25). this is one of the sweetest cards I have ever seen. probably my favorite card of all time next to the 1998 score no auto. awesome card!!! these pics do not do it justice. the second one is a 2013 EXQUISITE COLLECTION LEGENDARY #EL-PM (#/30). great looking card also but nothing close to the dimension auto. I just saw the new checklist for 2014 SPX and it has 24 different manning's in the set and the 2014 Goodwin champions has 15. I'm going to have my work cut out for me the next few months. so if anyone breaks these products and pulls a Manning, please let me know and I'm sure we can work out a deal. as always, thanks for looking. I love this thread....... If you dont mind me asking, how much did you have to shell out for the exclamation points and shrine time from retro? For the most part items simmer down after release but Manning retro inserts just keep climbing (along with the fact they never show up)... I mean there are 100 of the metal red gems and only like 15 even surfaced on ebay and the prices never budged at all

hey! as always I appreciate you checking out the thread. I gave $80 for the shrine time and if I remember right I think I have $125 in the exclamation points. its so weird with Peyton's college cards. everyone else doesn't do too good in their college unis but Peyton sells like crazy. I don't know if there's a lot of UT fans or just the fact that its been so long ago that he was in school that people like the "vintage" feel. who knows. its weird. like you said, the prices don't move too much, maybe $15-$20 either way. which is crazy for cards. usually they go way down probably over 50%. but not with him. and ud is killing the manning college collectors this year. 24 cards in spx and 15 in Goodwin. and flair showcase still doesn't have a checklist and sp authentic. its getting out of hand. crazy!!! thanks goodness I have an understanding wife and a good job lol

This year will absolutely punish the wallets of manning UT collectors...... the goodwin champions auto is selling at 400; simply nuts, you made out well on retro though..... some really tough inserts and it seems you got them all. The credentials and red gem /5 will probably never surface on ebay unless pack pulled by a hobby store owner

you said it right there. there's been 76 different manning's made so far just this year. I have all of the retro except for the 2 1/1s. I still have flair and sec greats set coming out and I'm sure they will make 25 more just between those. it is absolutely killing me. its almost not fun anymore. its more like a huge bill that arrives every month (or few days at my rate). I'm just hoping to get some relief soon. this is getting old. I like the new manning's but its getting out of hand. there were 24 different cards in the spx alone and 15 in Goodwin.

Well considering you probably had to shell our 400 ish for the green gem and god knows how much for the magenta red /5..... hopefully you got it early with like a 200 BIN on ebay before anyone knew what a fiasco the manning cards would cause........ but yea, its just crazy. I tried to get all the manning college game used stuff before all the nonsense of unliscensed college cards. I mean dont get me wrong, some of them are great. I would absolutely love to add the shrine time and exclamation points from retro, and I know some of the college themed autos to come will look great; but being a complete-ist at this point is pretty much a failure..... just wait til exquisite shows up, will be like buying a second car or maybe a boat..... Its hard to say I really feel bad for anyone about cards, but your collection is so complete and you always seem to be right on top of the next product before it even comes out; so I do feel bad for you and the situation all these college cards have caused.... most people dont even like them and the prices are much cheaper than other products, yet manning stuff sells for 3x the pro stuff...... bizarre situation indeed

its actually getting harder and harder to buy them. I mean spx had 8 autos of him and 6 of them are numbered under 10. it isn't even fun anymore. I like having new cards of him but when theres 24 of them, that's a bit much. and im a completest and want it all or nothing. im to the point now that I dread anything coming out. I used to spend whatever it took to add stuff to my collection, but I'm tapped out now and don't want to spend the money. I put my bid in and if I win I win. if not then whatever. im almost to the point of quitting and selling everything. I have almost 100 college autos of him and im sure I could make a lot on them all. maybe not "make" money but get a ton back. who knows? well I appreciate the "sympathy" (lol).
