I know they just released the last of 2011 products (NT and Playbook)...but does anybody else find it odd that nothing has been seen of the 2012 products, at all?

No press releases...no release dates..no "mock up" sell sheets..

Topps already has all of these things out on 5 different products (Topps, Bowman Signatures, Finest, Inception and Platinum).

Prestige is usually released what, 2 weeks after the draft? (last year was pushed back due to trying to ink Ingram and Newton to a contract). Even then though, it was only a month after the draft.

So the draft is 3 weeks away...but still no product info AT ALL? hmmm

Exactly what i said...

No press releases/blogs about upcoming products...
No release dates...
No images (whether the be mock ups like Topps, or real images of the products)

Like i said, Topps already has information out on 5 products (all of the above info- sell sheets, release dates, price point) for products releaseing as late as August.

Prestige is usually released 2 weeks after the NFL Draft...only snag was last year they delayed it 2 more weeks to get Ingram and Newton signed to a deal. Product was suppose to release May 11th, and didnt go live until May 25th- which was still only a month after the 2011 NFL Draft (April 29th).

Just find it odd that the draft is 3 weeks away..and the product should be around 7 weeks from release...yet no word on anything.

Same with Elite...which is about a month later than Prestige. But, nothing yet.

Actually according to this article when they signed Andrew Luck to a contract...reveals Prestige will be released much later than usual.

Panini America Inks Trading Card Deal With Projected No. 1 Overall NFL Draft Pick Andrew Luck - ABC27 WHTM (http://www.abc27.com/story/17333440/panini-america-inks-trading-card-deal-with-projected-no-1-overall-nfl-draft-pick-andrew-luck)

Luck's first officially licensed trading cards will appear in Panini America's 2012 Prestige Football product that is slated to release in June. In addition to traditional trading cards, Luck also will be featured exclusively on the company's pioneering HRX Video Trading Card technology, product packaging and in social media initiatives throughout the length of the agreement.

It does seem odd. I feel like we should have seen something on Prestige a month or so ago and should now be seeing info on Elite. Who knows what it means if anything. My guess is they are still busy milking 2011 and will soon move on to 2012

Or. Maybe they finally listened to Us. And are only going to make a lower amount of products. Instead of a lot of the same old same old.

Prestige, Elite, and Gridiron Gear should be combined into 1 product

Just make one name and use the others as subsets

why would you promote 2012 products until you get your 2011 stuff out? Would not make any sense to push the new stuff when you still have existing product your trying to move.

I'm sure they will start to focus on new stuff around the time of the Draft to maximize the hype and impact.
