I recently came across this card, and I was wondering how much do you think it is worth? Thanks for the help!

I personally don't think it's worth what it is at right now...

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I think someone is shilling it because if you look at the bid history, there is 1 member who only has 50 feedback and has bid 2 on the card with those being his only bids for the past month.

Yea honestly I didn't go that far into it, but the price seems crazy for a college uni, subset auto. Odds are it will close, and then be listed again, and sell for a lower price the second time around. Unless someone decides to pay whatever it goes for.

I know I paid a king's ransom for Sanzenbacher's. I would expect the Murray to go for more, maybe not quite this high, but I believe it. We shall see.

the price it is at is ridiculous.

Give me a full NFL logoshield auto for $120 less all day

Not that surprised. The Future Watch Autos are some of the nicest ones put out this year. The Mallett sold for $485, Delone Carter went for $245, Mark Ingram went for $850, AJ Green $700, Dalton $1,500.

The Future Watch cards have been very popular. Personally, I think they look awesome.

Yeah, it is such a nice card and I want to pull the trigger, but all I keep thinking of is how many Skeltons that would buy  !

In all seriousness, I feel like this is a little high for it, but it is hard to pass on!

honestly, it is way too high. If he has a huge game and you are looking to flip it, pro uniform is the way to go.

No one that follows the NFL cares about college uniforms.

Perfect example is Aaron Rodgers. Are his college 1/1's worth something? Yes, but his pro uniform 1/1's blow them out of the water

just a stupid ending price.

I bought my 2 1/1 logoshield autos, game used football, and Five star dual auto with Romo for less than that.

WHAT??? $1600+ and from a "private" bidder... this is looking a little fishy to me...

I know the private feedback bidder. It will be paid for & you will never see it back on the market again unless something crazy happens.

I agree, he bought my Watt as well, collects Upper Deck high end I believe as he bought a exquisite 3 clr roberts bgs 9.5 from me last year as well. And to those saying the price is crazy, this card is gone, it will never be seen again like Idol said...

Sad part is I could have paid the guy 800 offline for the demarco....:o

Different time, different circumstances. The college cards for Rodger's are mainly Press Pass and Sage. The college brands now are 2 of UD's higher end brands with a long history and huge collector following in SP Authentic and Exquisite. I am a big fan of the UD college stuff they are putting out so I am a little biased, but for the time being I think the market agrees with me as 2010 NT and Exquisite still sell pretty close to each other.

I guess we will agree to disagree. There are plenty of collectors that wont buy cards because they are in their college uniform so that is where I came up with my opinion

Actually, he has quite a few non-Sage and Press Pass college rookie autos.

8 of the 16 college rookies I have are from Topps, Panini or Upper Deck.

i bet you would not complain if you had the card and sold it for that much. a card is worth what someone will pay for it. whether you think its too high or too low it is what it is. congrats on a great sale and a great collector to buy for himself

also remember this is what makes us buy and sell cards. the thrill of a big hit or sale. and for those who think the hobby is dead this is just another bit of proof it is really alive

Not worth $1600 that's for damn sure, unless the buyer is a serious Murray collector. I'm a pretty big Dalton collector and I sure wouldn't pay $1500 for his FW 1/1.. Nice cards, but not that nice.

Thing about 1/1's...they're worth whatever someone is willing to pay for them. Some people go with a 'book' approach to things, thinking a 1/1 is worth 3-5x the price of an /5 card...but fact of the matter is it could be double or 10x the value of a lower numbered card. All really depends on the player, how much demand there is...and how much someone wants it. I usually throw away the books when it comes to 1/1's...because I've seen 1/1's of even scrubs go for astronomical prices.

pretty sure they are not a Murray collector. Never seen them bid before. As mentioned earlier, they collect UD 1/1's

I understand. I know a lot of collectors that won't buy college cards as well, it's all personal preference and you can't fault anyone for that. However, I believe that having high end college cards has opened up a segment that wasn't there before and that a lot of people really like (myself included). I love college football and the uniforms tend to be more colorful and are completely different from professional uniforms which when done correctly brings a nice and different perspective to the cards. I am also only talking about the mid-high end sets from UD recently (SP Authentic and Exquisite) as I'm not a big fan of the base UD this year. As if you couldn't tell already, I can't wait for Exquisite this year!!! Cards like the below are a thing of beauty!

I think you should throw away the books on anything haha.
Pretty much just like grading....grading is someones "opinion" on the condition of your card (and if you are a big time customer they tend to have higher opinions of your cards)
Book Value is just the same...its someones "opinion" on value and I just cant find any formula that they could be using for pricing other than just a poorly educated guess.

Exquisite looks sharp this year. It's a real shame UD doesn't have an NFL license..
