Buying single boxes on a website that adds up to a case...do they send a sealed case?

Just curious what your guys' experience is. For websites that sell both individual boxes and cases of a product...but the cases are sold out and the single boxes are still available.

Say there are 8 boxes in a case, and you order 8 single boxes. Will most places end up shipping you 8 loose boxes or a sealed case of the stuff?

I know for some it might not matter, but for me it does since usually there is a 'case hit', etc.
