Just thought I would get some other sellers opinion on what happened to myself. I contacted a seller about maybe purchasing a Terrelle Pryor NT /25 PayPal direct. He had it listed for $99.99 BIN. After asking if he would take lower away from ebay he tells me he is now raising price to $149 and thanks me for having him check the recently solds and then goes on to tell me I should have jumped on $99 price. I think this was a complete dick move. A buyer shows interest so you jack your price up? Should you not do research before posting? Anyway I wished him luck and 2 days later won same card for $56. Now of course I had to return the favor of letting him know he should have taken my $90 offer. Yes I know I was being a jerk but seriously? Pretty peeved that I showed interest and seller gloated and jacked up price...Maybe the seller is a member here who knows but either way that was unprofessional at best...I am certain there will be many opinions here but I am a buyer and this is a first for me...hopefully most sellers know the market before listing BINs and do not move them after an offer made and then throw in your face about missing out...I know I should have left it alone but sometimes in life an opportunity to payback needs to take place...

It's always fun when you can win a card for a little over half of what you would have paid a d!ck seller. I've considered rubbing it in to some of those sellers, but have opted not to do that in most instances.
Edit: it's almost as fun as when you sell something and watch someone relist it at 2x what you sold it for over, and over, and over, and over... and see them get no offers

I have won many cards on fleabay, where I offer a reasonable amount for a card I want, they tell me no way, so I bid and I will win it for way less than I offered originally... what a joke... I NEVER try to lowball anyone, I just offer what's fair these days for my PC player... I have no issue with them saying NO, but to hold out to be greedy, and hope they get more ends up hosing them in the end... what a joke...

My favorite is when they have it at a high price BIN,and decline every offer. It doesnt sell,so they relist it again as a auction and i get it 60% off the first listing price.

I made an offer in a similar situation...and after saying no to their outrageous inflated offer they blocked me from bidding...WTH is up with that? I was never anything less than polite.

I hate it when I receive messages asking if I'd take lower, best price, lowest I'd take, etc. Asking if I'd take $XX.xx is completely different and welcome. It's just the bottom-feeder fishing type inquiries that annoy me. So, if you said, "will you take $90 (or similar) off eBay," then I think the guy was out of line. If you just said, "will you take lower," I don't really have a problem with the guy needling you.

Why would you have a problem with this? Avoiding eBay fees plus someone shows interest in your item...Its better than your item just sitting there with no attention

I simply asked if he would be willing to deal PayPal direct. I know some sellers pay between 4.5% to 9% so I will offer with that savings in mind. His listing was $99.99 BIN and my offer was $90. He must have decided to check recently solds and there was one for $133 and two other guys were listing for $150 and $225 BIN. Should not a seller use due diligence before listing card for sale and not after a potential buyer shows interest? I politely explained I have purchased a ton of Pryors and once the first or second card of new releases sell they usually drop sharply. I felt $90 was completely fair. His response to me was a thanks for allowing me to check the listings and recently solds because now the BIN is $149.99 and I should have just hit the $99.99 BIN? What a dick...period. Even after that I told him good luck but of course I was peeved. After throwing in this assclowns face that he should have taken my $90 because now recently solds will show I got for $56 he tells me I have too much time on my hands and if I was so smart then why offer $90? Pretty sure this is why all his recently solds are red. Anyway my rant is over and thanks for input. First time this has happened to me as a buyer and my future response if it happens again may get me flagged cause this is complete BS. Sellers like this must remember there exists others who will gladly sell to lightning quick paying buyers with extremely fair offers and not try and gouge cause of interest and supposed lack of homework before listing.

I agree and anyone who has sold to me would say my offers are extremely fair and I never low ball. I don't even sell but when I share a big hit or recent pulls the offers I do get amaze me. It would cost me more in postage and gas and I would lose money. Of course I just say no thanks and not be a dick about it. Business is business but this guy made it personal, at least I was made to feel this way.
