I live in Ogden and have been to a few shops around here but nothing really keeps me going there. Any suggestions on shops around here?

Have you stopped by End Zone in Clearfield?? they have so much stuff!! really blew me away by the sheer volume of stuff they have but, that can also be a downside. One employee cannot help everyone or anyone adequately.
Also, House of Cards in SLC is a smaller shop but, Mitch over there is seriously the best shop owner i have ever met (i think it is his shop anyhow). Nice guy, very patient, loves to chat about collecting, etc etc etc. CANNOT say enough great things about that spot from the perspective of an old school proper card shop! Also...the bid board on saturday is pretty awesome!

I have bought a few things from Endzone every now and then. They have the owner who knows a lot about collecting and once you get him started talking he will talk nonstop. The other guy that works there knows NOTHING about sports cards and is more of a Yugioh kinda guy.
I am very intrigued to venture out to SLC just to go to the card shop out there. I wonder if their prices are comparable to places like blowout or hobby box. Thanks for the input man!

Bro...if you go to SLC...the shop is WAAAAY small compared to EndZone...but the vibe is good. Honestly, i think every shop i have ever seen has very little in comparison to EndZone lol. Bid Board is cool in SLC...owner is way cool...but not much in the way of wax when i went there. Good Luck!

Yeah man Endzone is huge but their prices are pretty crazy. I think they are still trying to sell hoops for the original price it was at.

Never been out that way for cards yet. I may have to try sometime though. I've heard about Mr. E's, it sounds pretty good.

I know this is kind of late but I've been to both! I live in West Jordan btw.
Overtime Cards is my "go to" card shop. Only because of the distance. There is a pretty good assortment of products up there. The prices are pretty low as well, compared to a few others I've heard about. The shop owner, Heidi, is okay if I had to use one word. She's really helpful and nice but she isn't really one to chat up with small talk. She doesn't really talk about the hobby, at least not to me but it could be because I'm 17 and only care about the money (I've gotten that from a few people).
Mr. E's is by far my favorite card shop. I would go there more often but it takes way too far for my parents to drive me (no license, long story). The selection there is only limited to a few products but they make up for it big time. They have a ton of memorabilia last time I was up there (about 3 months ago). The shop owner, Rod, and his wife are the best people you will ever meet. They'll give you free penny sleeves and top loaders to protect any awesome cards you pull if you open your packs/boxes there. They also talked to me for a good hour and a half about a ton of things (the hobby, stories, etc.). They also gave me a free pack of Topps Chrome football for the heck of it! They even gave me a snickers bar, a box of cookies, and some water for the ride home. All in all, best experience of my life. Ever.
Mr. E's also has a show every few months and I hear its pretty good. Everything in the shop is also 10% off that day. I still have yet to go to one. Was planning on going last year but my ride bailed on me.
So if any of you guys plan in going up to Mr. E's and pass through West Jordan. Please give me a ride! As long as you don't kidnap me :)!

Wish I didn't have work on the weekends or I would make it out. Never been to a card show before and I think it would be pretty sweet.

I have been to House of Cards and it's pretty cool and the owner is really nice. I found a lot of their prices reasonable, especially the singles, but they didn't have much boxes or packs to open when I was there.

I will be out there with a table. Should be good. Normal guys with sportscards, but I've talked to some buddies and they'll be setting up with records, Americana, etc. we are tryin to make this The Sportscard show to attend. Mr. E's has a good setup, but can be on the small side. Last I heard, we are at about 20 tables. Should hopefully get some good foot traffic. We shall see. See you there.
For the record, Mitch at HoC is not the owner. Jeff is. Both great guys. Heidi is nice, just takes a bit to break the outer shell. Mr.E is a cool guy as well.
