why do ppl not place these cards in a 1-touch case before scanning them?? placing a card directly on the scanner w/ no protective case is almost guaranteed to damage the card slightly. Whenever I see a seller selling cards that they scan/photograph w/ no case, I am immediately turned off

I always just sleeve the card in a poly sleeve prior to scanning. Does that turn you off?

A sleeve is not as bad, however, when you place a card in a sleeve, lots of times the sleeve will "snag" a piece of the cards edge or corner and cause minor damage(I know ya'll know what I'm talking about). There really is no reason for a card that is of any value($50 & up) to not be placed in a 1 touch immediately. Cards scan perfectly when in one of these so there is no reason for them to ever come out. That is my take....

Do you open a box of Exquisite w/o a stack of 1-touches in hand??? I sure hope not..

By the way, i think the person took a picture of the card instead of scanning it. So it doesn't really cause damage to the card. I'm sure he did it without a case because case usually can show dust marks on the case and light reflections that make the card look worse condition it is.

I always "rip or tear" one of the sides of the sleeve and slide them right in without damage. Actually the one touch holders could cause some surface damage to the cards. When you deal with a sleeve it will preserve the surface of the cards that we charish so much.:)!
