Wow this guy is just incredible this year. I know the Mets are seriously kicking themselves in the butt for not signing him during the off season.
Granted he is 37 but the numbers he is putting up are pretty much the only thing keeping Philly in 1st place.
.340
19 Homeruns
51 RBI's
716 Slugging %
He is projected to hit 62 bombs but im sure he will slow down - I hope he slows down!

The Cubs considered this guy too but I don't think he was very high on their list, probably because of his age. Some would say it's a product of the home ballpark he's in, but the fact of the matter is that he's been slightly more productive on the road so that doesn't quite work. How scary a middle of the lineup is that? Chase Utley, Ryan Howard, Raul Ibanez. Eeeeeesh.

I predicted F-Rod as the best off season pick-up, but man this guy is no doubt the best so far.
Nice season and another super potent bat in that line-up. Good thing their pitching has been sub-par or these guys might have a 10 game lead on the division.

In that band box any left handed hitter is going to put up good numbers. Yes this is a little nuts right now but not too shocking when you see the numbers put up in that park. You will see the same thing in the AL now with a Lefty signs to play in Yankee stadium.

Ibanez is hitting .346 ON THE ROAD with 11 home runs and 28 RBI so it's more than just home-cooking...

Wow. Looks like Ibanez likes facing two teams in the NL!
