I'd be having a heart attack right about now. Every indication looks to be a torn ACL.

Rose Investors looking to flip during the playoffs are. I hope this won't affect his career going foward. Don't wanna see a Talented Player be hampered by injuries in his career.

One question, why are you so worried about Derrick Rose? You start a lot of threads about Derrick Rose. Are you a big fan of him?

Yeah you started the other thread already... We get it. And I'd take it that most Rose collectors, like myself, collect him because we're Rose/Bulls fans. Cards rank pretty low next to my concern for the player/team in general.

Yes I'm worried! Anytime a reigning MVP goes down, this sht is fking crazy! I'm the fan of the game, and that game is Derrick Rose.

100% Agree!! :) Cards are not my concern right now...Im sure most Rose/Bulls fans will agree...Bulls winning the championship and for Rose to stay healthy is a #1 concern..I hope he'll be alright...

I might be. Though the Heat would have ended it too.
Having weathered the Spurs' championships as a collector I know how expensive cards can get when a team succeeds. I watched Manu cards that sold for $10 reach $100.
Don't speculate. Wait for the MRI. If it was a torn ACL docs can feel that pretty quick using a Lachman's test. If they had a strong suspicion it was torn something would have leaked already.

And I just pulled a rose auto /10 yesterday...my luck....
same thing keeps happening to me in a slightly different way:
1) Last Year - I buy an 2001 BC Pujols RC Auto...3 days later he is out until late in the season...
2) Last Year - I buy an 2008 Donruss Elite Posey RC Status DieCut auto /10...the day AFTER he gets nailed at home-plate in a collision and is done for the season
3) This Year - I buy a 2011 Finest Pineda RC Auto Mosaic Ref. /10....a month or so later he tears his anterior labrum in his throwing shoulder and is out for AT LEAST the season

Derrick Rose Torn Left ACL out for the year. =( Good bye Bulls Championship / possible future. They style that he plays, combined with the terrible cramped season, it was only a matter of time. . . .

he's a guy that needs his body to be 100% especially the legs due to his fast jumpstop

I'd be more worried about his lingering back problems. Back injuries are the worst type of injuries and the one's that tend to linger forever and never fully heal.
A torn ACL can be fixed and he can bounce back and come back almost as strong as before from that. He needs to get hooked up with that Tim Grover guy or someone similar. He needs to obviously strengthen his entire body to absorb the speed and torque he plays with, and has probably not been training his entire body correctly.
He's just been relying on his youth and athleticism, and that doesn't last forever. This type of sh!t is really a science and the right person training you can make all the difference. He can get back to where he was before IMO.

I am legitimately very very sad. Really sucks. I know it's just a game but this is a tough pill to swallow. I'd rather see them swept by somebody as long as they would have fired every bullet they had. Cant imagine what he's thinking now.

That was an awful move by Thibodeau. Why was he in the game with 1 minute left when they were up by 13 points? That just doesn't make any sense to me.

Most coaches will let keep their starters in so they can keep the momentum going into the next game. Only problem was Rose already had season full of injuries so it was bad of Thibs to keep Rose in.

Sucks to see Rose go down, but really? up 12 with 1 minute to go and you have your superstar out there? Do you really need momentum against the 76ers?

I will wait three or four months then start picking rose Auto's up... really like how he plays and how he carries himself.
I'll guess I am a "leftover" Bulls fan from the Jordan days... just something about seeing someone in that jersey doing what Rose does litterally gives me chills.
Heres hoping he recovers. The young man has always worked hard. Now he will need to work harder.

Broken Knees CP3 never fully recovered. See 2008. Other stars who never became the same player before torn ACL: Michael Redd, Penny Hardaway, Brandon Roy, college prospect Adam Morrison, rising star Shaun Livingston, we all know Greg Oden, and some others I prolly missed.

Yes it was , But Chris doesn't play like Rose going to the rack all the time , so he has comeback pretty well.
This season he lifted his average's in Scoring this season 19.8 pts and steals up to 2.53 just down on assist's to 9.1 but still top 4 in two attributes in the league Assists and steals .
He is 13th in scoring aswell not bad .
But then again Chris play's different ball to Rose , Rose depends on athleticism and this will slow him down with his leaping ability .

yeah no, i totally agree with you with the different styles of play, but the high level cp3's been at this year does give me a teeny tiny bit of long term optimism for d

A few of the players on your list never even tore their ACL's. They did have knee injuries though.
Current players that have torn their ACL's.... Chris Paul, Eric Maynor, Kendrick Perkins, Shaun Livingston, Al Harrington, Ricky Rubio, Michael Redd, and DeJuan Blair. I am sure there were others.
I tore my ACL back in high school playing basketball. It's no fun. It's going to be a long road back for Derrick. If anyone has the work ethic to come back and play at top form after ACL surgery it would be Derrick Rose. I wish him the best.
You can point blame at Tom Thibodeau for having Rose in the game with a minute left all you want, but I point blame at 2 things -
1. The NBA lockout and the tight scheduling. Rose was never a player that had alot (or nearly any - played in 97% of his games) injuries before this season. You can point to his playing style all you want, but he has always played the same way his entire basketball career dating back to his junior high days.
2. ADIDAS. Is it or is it not a coincidence that nearly all of the big name Adidas guys suffered key injuries this season while wearing Adidas shoes?
Dwight Howard, Eric Gordon, Chauncey Billups, Iman Shumpert, Derrick Rose, Brook Lopez. Past Adidas guys with key injuries include Garnett, McGrady, and Arenas. Alot of the injuries these players suffered were similiar ones too.
I know I have worn Adidas shoes for basketball before and I do not recommend them. They hurt my feet, knees, shins, and back. All injuries that the above mentioned players have suffered while wearing Adidas shoes. I've done it already and I would recommend anyone that plays basketball to not wear Adidas shoes. You're only asking for an injury.

Thanks for the clarification UD. It was either ACL, MCL, or blown knee, all just really bad news. 66 game schedule was a killer. lol UD why you gotta blame the shoes man. And who wears Adidas to play basketball? You crazy. All about Nike and Reebok man.

WOW, Blaming Adidas?? I love their shoes and recommend them for all my players I coach. Better than the cheaply made WAY Overpriced stuff, say Nike Puts out. I have worn out Nike shoes at twice the rate of Adidas and the NIke shoes cost twice as much.
Sorry to hijack the thread
D.Rose going down, REALLY hurts the Bulls and will hurt his card value, For how long, that's TBD

I knew it.
I knew it was just a matter of time before everyone blamed anything and everything under the sun except Rose himself for his injury.
Ill put this one to the test. How many players wear adidas shoes and how many got injured. I love to see see this debate go in front of a court room.
If Rose doesnt win a Ring, im sure people will blame the league being fixed. Because Rose deserves a ring. Rose deserves everything in life without having to work for it.
If Rose is sick, it means the mob spiked his meal. If Rose doesnt perform its because something was in his gatorade. If the bulls dont win its because the refs fixed the game.
Am I missing anything else?
