im assuming this was an auction and someone asked if he would add a buy it now for $50. You will see this was an auction starting at $5 but ended with a $50 BIN. Unless he has a BIN with the auction?

You can list a starting price and BIN. Once an item gets a bid the BIN option goes away (unless you have a reserve on it).

My guess is he had it at a starting price of $5 with a BIN of $50. Someone obviously saw the BIN price before the first bid and jumped on it.

good question--hadn't thought that far ahead.

first objective was to track down the card/owner (which I wasn't 100% sure I could even do). second objective was to discuss if it would be available for sale. if so, then get to price...
