What value do you think this card has? Potential?

In case you guys didn't know, this from the 09-10 Panini Next Day Autos set. These are rumored to be /10.

This is an extremely sought after set. Blake Griffin is the best in the set and I was wondering what you guys thought the value is... now and a bit in the future? Basically, I'm just looking for others' opinions on this card.

The one thing I don't like about this card/set is people don't initially realize how valuable these cards are. They look so plain.

This Blake was bid up to $1,625 recently on eBay, but the buyer didn't pay.
Players like Wayne Ellington and Taj Gibson sell $200-$300! This is a high dollar set!

I can't even get $50 for a Mark Ingram donruss rookie auto from the nationals. Always thought the cards not a a part of any set we're worth much less?

They ARE part of a set. They were randomly inserted in packs and make up a whole set. Nothing like a Nationals promo set.

my thought B- this is a bigger Blake card amongst all Blake cards than your Rose is amongst all Rose cards, so then it comes down to how much you're giving up on top of the Rose, and how you feel about each individual player. I'd be curious to know how much you're giving up on top of the rose

Ive never really understood why this set carries such a higher premium. Id rather have a nice RPA over this card of any of the players in the set.

These are the BEST true rookie auto in the 09/10 releases! I am a big fan because of the fact that they are not numbered and leave it up to us to speculate as to how rare they are!
There are a lot of 'back door' versions of these going around that don't have the stamp in the corner - like your pic does.
I would have thought that the current value of this would sit at $1500 - $2K but if you have the money, I would put it away for a rainy year. It will be his most valuable RC in the future IMO.

Speaking of Limited, in 10/11 they tried to re release the 'Next Day Auto' concept and made a /99 set which are still nice on card autos, but not as cool as the 09/10 ones.

I'd say it's probably a $1500 right now. If Blake can polish his game and lead them to a championship one day who knows $3k??? It all depends on how you feel about Blake Griffins playing potential. I'm a little scared he is more the Vince Carter route and his card probably peaked but that's just my opinion.

Without knowing much about newer guys, but knowing how great Blake is, and how beautiful that card is, and then you top it off with possibly being numbered to only 10? I would guess $500 to $800 with lots of potential in the future.

If I were to buy modern players other than Silhouettes, I would definitely get this card! It's plain and simply beautiful :cool:

The sticker auto cards from Panini are different! They are the 'Inscriptions' like these:

These are the 'standard' rc autos from 09/10 Panini release. They have base/proof/glossy and auto versions, just like 11/12 Hoops.

The Next Day Auto are the premier card from this release and my understanding is that they were only released in the retail packs too, not hobby! At $500 - $800 I would buy all of the ones you can find TODAY! ;)

It's called Paninitis! It is a serious condition that one gets from signing autos full time for a card company. That is why it has changed! lol

Jennings would have fetched $700-$800 in the middle of 09/10 I think, but now I would put it at $400-$500 ish at a guess!

My guess: $450 - Despite his terrible shooting nights and lousy streaks here and there, people still love them some BJ3. I think that card has a ton of potential too. (Considering he could be headed to a big market team very soon)

I followed all of Blake's RC's last year extremely closely.

Sorry to say, but I think the ~2-2.5k 'peak' value they saw last year right before the all star break will never be seen again. I mean sure, theoretically if they win a Championship, then perhaps it may get close to those values, but the Griffin hype train has came and went. But overall, high end blake collectors rather have his NT RPA, even if its the base /99 version with a mediocre patch.

I personally wouldn't pay anything over the low 1k range for it, but it is a nice card. There were several 'uncomfirmed' next day Griffin autos without the stamps that surfaced as well...not sure if they're fakes but if not, then there are more than 10 of these around, IMO (kind of like the Red sp authentic rc's..much more than 5-10 produced like people say)

MJ I got this for 300 not too long ago and it is #3/5 which I thought was a good deal but what would you say the one you sold me would sell on ebay after seeing the /5 and does the jersey number make a huge increase in value on this card? Sorry to get off topic...
