Looks like CP3 could be on his way to a triple double tonight, hopefully in a winning effort. Provding the Clippers take care of the Grizzlies the next two games, how do they match up against the Spurs? And when will Paul's cards see a friendly playoff payoff?

Personally, I was/am hoping the Spurs meet the Clippers in the next round. Maybe because of fear from what the Grizzlies did last year, buut mainly because I think we can account for them better!

With Billups gone, the Clips are a much easier task, still a great team though.

It's friggin hilarious to watch these games and see Staples filled to the rafters with "fans" wearing red Clip Nation shirts. 3/4 of the people in that stadium couldn't tell you any players name on that team besides Blake Griffin last season. Now they are spending money on playoff tickets. Gotta love those Bandwagons. It's funny to watch because even though the stadium is rocking and people are cheering it just seems so artificial and fake. Like hired actors or something.

I'm happy they're winning I root for every team in LA to do well, but I would never spend money to go watch them play, and trust that 90% of that stadium is bandwagoners right now. Just because they can chant "Reggie when he gets a rebound doesn't mean sh!t. Also you think I'm legitimately saying they hired actors to sit in the stands? LMFAO, it's cool dude. If you grew up in LA you would get where I'm coming from.

Naturally when any team picks up talent like CP3, they will boost ticket sales through the roof- look at Angels season ticket sales with Pujos......If Kobe where to move over to the Bobcats, it's guaranteed those seats would fill up by at least 50%. It brings excitement and wakes up to the sleepy Clipper fans at home. Heck, I was tempted to pick up tickets to tonight's Clipper game (last time I went me and a buddy had season tickets in 06 to see Brand, Livingston, Kaman, Mobley......) so really don't see them ALL as bandwagoners, but more as dormant fans who have woken up, but some will be bandwagoners regardless ;p

I get you completely. I've been in SoCal for the past 10 years now and the bandwagoning here is unparalleled. I wonder where all these Clipper fans were a few years ago. Sad part is that I'm sure quite a few true Clipper fans who actually followed the team through their bad seasons and attended those games (a lot of times because their tickets were affordable) are priced out of the playoff games, so they're stuck watching their beloved Clippers at home, watching the artificial fans cheer at the live game. I bet if you survey the crowd and asked them to tell you something about "Daniel Ewing" 90% would be completely lost.

I get what you're saying, bandwagon fans are inevitable and it's not a bad thing. Some will stay some will fizzle out. I'm not too sure about the masses of dormant fans though. Also the Angels have always filled a stadium before Pujols and will long after Pujols. OC'ers are pretty passionate about their Angels and Ducks. That's why I always thought the Clips should of bailed for Anaheim years ago, they would have had this huge fan base long ago instead of just recently. You know LA and Orange county are almost like two different states.

LMAO, yup and it's sad that all these posers are jacking up tickets prices and leaving the hardcore out in the cold.

Take 30 random "fans" at the game and ask them how excited they were when they drafted Darius Miles, or Shaun Livingston. Tell them that the Clips originally drafted Lamar Odom and watch their heads explode.

What do you expect then? You want the stadium to be half empty and not cheering when the team is in the playoffs? I don't understand the complaint or criticism. The shirts are obviously handed out. Why would they not wear it? Sheesh. You have been seriously hit by the negative bug.

As someone who despises all things LA, but live and work here, I guess I might be considered a band-wagoner because I became a Clips fan last year. Why? My second kid was born and because I took a bunch of time off, I bought a 12-game package taking friends and others to the games. They were, and are, a fun team to watch because they are young, prone to mistakes, but athletic as hell.

I decided to re-up my tickets this year, albeit about 20 rows back because the Clips were a hot commodity now. I'm sure there are plenty of bandwagoners out there, but there are many long-suffering fans who haven't gone to games because they've sucked. I had tickets for last night's game and you know what I did with them? Gave them to my son's preschool teacher who has been a long-time fan.

I've never had geographical alliances growing up (in NorCal). Look at the list of my teams and I suffer plenty: Padres, Seahawks, Bucks (Milwaukee when I was growing up) and yes even the foresaken Expos. Why these teams? Because I loved the players on those teams, when sticking with a team out of loyalty and not fleeing for the highest paycheck meant something in sports.

So yea I'm a newfound Clippers fan, two years in the making. I was there for Mozgov, Perkins and Gasol (all on my side of the court). Simply electric and while Clips fans don't bring as much energy as some other teams, including the Lakers, they are indeed starting to find their voice.

Just out of interest how many minutes is that based on and what FG% did each shoot? I would think the clutch stats on 82games would have much more meaning.

cp3 126 min
kobe 148
westbrook 119

fg%
paul 43%
kobe 33%
westbrook 49%-gotta believe that high % is because of durant and harden out there.. he is getting way better looks then cp3 or kobe..
also cp3 gets to the line alot! and when he does 95%..you foul him late and its 2 points, like dirk last year in the playoffs..

Impressive numbers. His clutch numbers (4th quarter or overtime, less than 5 minutes left, neither team ahead by more than 5 points) are solid but there are some that are better. The most impressive thing I noticed is only 2% of his pts are assisted on, meaning he is creating everything on his own. Always been one of my favorite players.....do hate the flopping though.

Officiating a game is hard enough and ultimately, even if it adversely affects my team, I want the right calls to be made. Excessive flopping takes advantage of what is already a flawed system. I would prefer the NBA do what the NHL has done.
