Best buy for around $300?

Looking for some advice. My birthday is coming up fairly soon (couple weeks) and the Mrs wanted to get me something nice, so she left it up to me. Said I could spend up to $350 on whatever I want (which, of course, means cards :)).

So, looking for some help. Going by Blowout's prices, what do you think is the best buy for around $300? (give/take 50 bucks)

Can be any sport (preferably baseball/hockey, but I could go for bball or fball).

I'm a big fan of 2011 Bowman Draft (busted about half a case) so I wouldn't mind getting some of that, although the price is a little steep now.

How about 5 boxes of 2010 bowman draft? It's still relatively inexpensive and being overlooked right now.

Unless you have a need(to bust wax:devil:) I would recommend singles. If you drop $300 on singles you can add a whole bunch of cards to your PC. If you rip $300 worth of draft, chrome, or some other product and get $50 worth of cards back you may feel disappointed. I have recently begun moving away from wax cause the risk is too high. Another option is 2009-10 sp authentic hockey, still pretty cheap as well compared to other years, and a fun break, you can get 3 boxes of that, and you'll get nearly 10 autographs with an outside chance at some patches/monsters.

I thought about that, but I'm really just looking to bust something, you know :). Although if I do find a card for the pc I will pick it up, but really I'm looking for a fun couple of boxes.

This is sincerely underpriced at the moment ... might be able to sneak it in under $300 ;)

#1 Get yourself a nice, raw, 93 SP Jeter RC. You can scoop them up for around $75.

#2 Buy 1 box of 2011 Draft $66 One of the best drafts in a while, literally 10 players could have gone #1 in other drafts and all the duds are in 2012 Bowman!

#3 Buy 1 box of 2006 Draft $60 ... somebody has to get the Longoria Super Auto

#4 Buy 1 box of 2011 Bowman Chrome $95 ... Harper probably the last time in your life you will see these boxes for less than $150

Thanks for the help man. Not too sure about the Jeter. I'm not too big on buying non-pc singles, so I'd probably shy away from that. I might switch in a pc card for those $75 instead.

I like the idea of 2006 draft (gotta take some risks, right!) and of course 2011. Not too sure on Chrome though. I've busted a box and didn't do too well, and that was at $65, so buying at $95 seems a little much. I'll think about it though.

There is a reason he posted this thread, he wants to buy a box, not singles :). I'd go with 2011 BDPP or any Series 1/2 Upper Deck Hockey. Especially 2008/09 Series 1. Heck you can get a case of 2008/09 Series 2 for $330ish.

At least somebody got the point of the thread :).

I've looked into 08/09 UD Series Two. Blowout has them at $419 which is out of my price range (I had to pull some strings to get $350!). I'll check my LCS though. He occasionally has prices lower than blowout (although he still has 2010 bowman platinum at $200 a box so I'm doubting it :)).

Omg really?!?! Is whoever wins going to pay or am I missing something? And if they do then what? Not sure if it's a joke(the bidding) or people are really that dumb. What happens of they pay then file a claim? You stated it was invisible so your okay right? Lol insane!
