Chandler > Bynum
on defense.
but overall i don't think so. bynum had a pretty good year.
i agree - Bynum, despite his shortcomings, showed signs of dominance during stretches this year.
he could be a monster player if he ever gets his head on straight. time is running out for that, though...

I think a couple of them could POSSIBLY have gone another way, but overall, pretty spot on! Although, I would like to see how any coach would play TP and WB together??? Did they not watch the All Star game? lol

Isn't he 24? I think he made a big leap over the last few months. Still not polished, but he still isn't even in his prime.
Love on second team - nice! Blake on second team? Eh.

yeah in terms of actual age and years left in the league, he has plenty of time.
i just mean that he is getting to the point where he might just be what he is. running out of time to really mold himself for what should be the prime of his career.

Rondo was the best point guard in the league after the all-star break. Can't go wrong with any of the 3 point guards though.

As a 'one-eyed' Spurs fan, I would have to disagree and say CP3 was! lol
But Rondo was better than TP for most of the second half of the season I think! Except for Parkers BIG games in there ;)

Paul was great, but it's hard to go against somebody who had a streak of 28 straight double digit assist games. And the Celtics played really well in the second half.

Pretty good lists there. Not a Kobe fan but it's amazing to see him on the first team after all these years in the NBA. Great player for sure.

Here was my prediction in april, obviously i forgot about CP3 but i didn't know who to take out then, cause they were all playing great
http://www.blowoutcards.com/forums/basketball/289466-2011-12-all-nba-team-predictions.html
I think they should announce/send in there votes for season awards by the end of the regular season because some voters might take playoff playing into consideration

Woah even I didnt see Griffin making the 2nd team...but Im not unhappy about it :D
But no way Melo should replace him, he was just crap this year. I wouldnt mind if it was Dirk who did

What defines "All-NBA"..?
I thought it would be all-around great performers.
Kobe was a great scorer, but I didn't see him loading up in the other stats (it is hard to get assists when you're taking all the shots because if you do actually pass to a teammate they can't do anything with it...).
Despite how much I like Durant, I'd have put Love in the first team over him (can't replace Lebron so he'd have to go). Rondo could have been in any of the teams, bit tough for him there.

dirk, didn't he have to sit out games because he was out of shape?
Lets not forget carmelo shouldered the load when lin went down and amare was suckin it up. Didn't they go 18-6 down the stretch with carmelo leading thm.

Love should have been first team, puttin up numbers no one has since the 70's and 80's

how exactly was dirk better than melo this year? and even if he was i wouldn't say melo was 'crap'...i guess if you count going from your usual 25 ppg to 23 then sure...i mean he didn't have the best year of his career but he certainly turned it on in a big way down the stretch...

i completely agree
i would bump kobe to the second team move love up to the number 1
then move russ chuckbrook to third and move melo up for a foward spot

Haha I probably shouldn't have been so ignorant before posting - I didn't know his numbers were that good. Still stand by my Love over Durant pick though.

Lamarcus Aldridge?
IamRalpho
05-24-2012, 06:18 PM
Carmelo shouldnt have been on the 3rd, guy was tanking for part of the year, Aldridge should have been instead.
Regardless, it doesnt matter.
i'm shocked to see tyson chandler on there, wow! it's a shame rose wasn't on it this year.
knicks_please
05-24-2012, 06:37 PM
really doesnt matter, carmelo was honestly grandfathered in, but whats the difference between melo tanking half the year and dirk not being in shape for half the year? did dirk deserve it any more than melo? i personally dont think so, but we all know us knicks fans can't give opinions without being homers anyway so we don't even have to get into it lol. and as for tyson chandler, he single handedly changed the defensive culture of a franchise, who deserves third team over him??? he deserves it more than melo in my opinion, and since they're BOTH knicks i dont think i can be bias lol...

SF - Lin
PF - Josh Harrelson
C - Lin

The 3rd team would beat the 2nd team imo. Wow.

05-24-2012, 07:09 PM
the team looks about right. coaches always have an uncanny gift for picking right (except the two clowns that didn't give lebron 1st place vote - probably byron scott and mike brown)
center was harder this year as dwight didn't stand above the crowd as much this year. so when it came down to voting they probably just picked who they'd rather have on their team
it's a toss up between parker and CP3. so as above
lebron, durant and kobe are no-brainers this despite your allegiances.
even tristan20 wouldn't pick K Love over Durant in the first team. if you pack a room with 10 people i'll probably average 9th or 10th in any type of smartness/intelligence, but damn even I think it's embarrassing to say Love should be in the first team over Durant, regardless of what definition you give to all-nba

Josh Smith, Andre Igudola, and Alridge were more deserving Melo.
That is all I meant, Carmelo Anthony did not deserve to be on the 3rd team and probably not Dirk, so replace both of them

Yeah I could somewhat agree w that...but since the numbers for melo were still basically there I think they just gave it too him out of Past respect

Heres Espns tweet
Dywane Wade has been absolutely unreal. 39 pts on 25 shots. ZERO threes and only 5 FTS. UNREAL. He's a 3rd Team All-NBA player? Yea right.
I think Wades performance tonight had a little something to do with the NBA teams that came out. Wade was like "Come on, you guys forgot what I can do?" He is the best SG in the league and somehow gets a third team.

Thats the problem, he didnt show it enough to warrant a higher ranking
Edit: And something I didnt notice first time, but Rose isnt on there at all..

He didn't have to show it more with Lebron on the team. LeBron has to be "the man" on the team, otherwise he's not happy.

Why call out only Kobe? I mean Durant had less assist. If anything Durant doesnt deserve to be up there compared to kobe

Pts: 28

Kobe
Pts: 27.9
Reb: 5.4
