I didn't know this was an option until David, the replacement manager, told me. Just curious if anyone else has tried it and pulled anything good.

Yes, but i don't think there's any big difference. Did pull a joson kidd on card auto from some loose pack of classics that was send as replacement along with other things. Topps does the same thing, i think i got a box of echelon in replacment for redemption of ray allen letterman booklet #/3, at the time both were worth $150 but definitely did not pull $150 worth of stuff out of the box.

Yea they use BV for the card yet they use "market value" for the boxes/products they send you. So even if market has products overpriced, they'll still think thats what its worth. For example, panini was probably selling national treasures boxes at $230 a box to dealers when it first came out. Now they can use it to replace $600 worth of card cause its now the Market price. Very unfair if u ask me.

is it a replacement for a redemption or a damaged card? If its for a redemption it would seem a bit ironic if you pulled another redemption from the box given as a replacement..... the redemption vicious-cycle haha

Yeah this is unfortunate. The card in question is a John Wall Certified Gold but it has a Grizzlies patch in it. I guess all I can hope for is something decent in return.

I remember back in the day when Stadium Club released their basketball product (Shaq RC year). When Series 2 came out with the Shaq RC, I remember packs being like $12. That was HUGE for a kid my age. I mustered up to buy 1 pack at a show. I get home and opened the pack and all the cards were damaged. I was the saddest kid on the planet. Fortunately my parents urged me to write a letter to Topps about what happened. Few weeks later, I got a package in the mail with about a dozen packs of Stadium Club Series 2. Pulling that Shaq RC was crowing achievement of my young collecting years.
Unfortunately companies can't do business like that anymore because there's too much scamming and dishonesty. It's good you're at least getting something in return; it's better than nothing.

I gave them a link to the last sale of the Wall, which was way more than the BV, and he said he would consider it. I guess we will see what I get.

Description Details:
The replacement cards will not be sent. We were able to get a replacement Totally Certified Gold John Wall card to re-stamp 17/25.
Woohoo! I will be getting my Wall replaced with the correct patch, and supposedly is a really nice swatch too. David was very helpful during the entire process.
I was originally going to get a Mallett NT and Aaron Rodgers timeless treasures prime patch auto /10, but I am happy to get the Wall back. It was my first choice.
