Spurs off to a great start. I don't know why the Thunder continue to take the ball into the crowded lane. Bottom line, if the Thunder don't hit from the outside they have zero chance.

Harden's gotta kick the ball out when the Spurs collapse on him as he drives. He insists on trying to lay it up with three Spurs hounding him.

Agreed! The Spurs are playing their inside D much like the way they play here in Aus (NBL). By keeping both hands straight up, they can make body to body contact and crowd the shot with very little chance of a foul.
Splitter is very good at it.

Spurs seem to playing their game. I'm watching the game online, why was pop so mad at the end of the quarter? Couldn't tell but it looked like he was upset. Did the Spurs not run the correct play?

Pop hates losing possessions and they didn't even get a shot off, assume that was the case.
Durant keeping the Thunder close with a pretty impressive first period. Hate to say it, but if I'm Thunder I hope Duncan keeps shooting , especially the 15 foot baseline fadeaway.

As long as it is Perkins on him!

I've said it before and I'll say it again... the Thunder need another scorer. They literally ONLY have KD, Westbrook and Harden. Those 3 struggle to oversome some teams, let alone when one of them has a bad night. Collison, Cook, Thabo, Ibaka are all not scoring options - if they had one more player (I'd hoped they'd pick up someone at the deadline) who can score off the bench then they'd be Championship Favorites.

The Spurs passing is catching the Thunder off guard almost every time. Brooks better have some good words of advice at halftime...

They need to carry that momentum into the second half and finish off OKC.
Go Spurs !!!

Not even another scorer, they need a low post threat to make teams think twice about caring about playing interior D against them. Ibaka and Perkins scare no one and allow the wings to be doubled.
Sitting on 2 Spurs to win it all tickets at 6-1 and 7-1 and am loving what I've seen so far for the last 3 quarters

I bet 50 on them to win it all at 3:1, and have 100 on them to win it all tonight at even odds, so I'm with you on this.

Those are good odds. In Jan of 2005 I got them at 10 to 1. I was a happy man that year.

Easier said then done but that should be stressed by Scott Brooks.

It doesn't even seem like Durant has 19 points I would think he had less than that tonight if I hadn't checked the box score.

Wow, +1. People called me crazy for saying Parker should be considered for theMVP this year....some now realize why. He is the gas that runs this machine. With him gone, I'm sure POP would figure something out. He makes everyone better, plain and simple. I love watching him play, it is a beautiful thing. With that said, series doesn't start until the road team wins. Spurs are simply holding court(and looking good at it).

"coach" his team? They weren't going to catch up in 11 seconds. I didn't know you could only say something about a team if it was in a positive light. Thanks for pointing that out. :)!

Game can't end if the ball doesn't get in-bounded, which wasn't going to happen which is why he took the TO. If they turn it over and the Thunder hit a quick three things change in a hurry.

There was no chance of a comeback once it hit the 11 second mark. Unless the spurs all became braindead.

You don't just give up a possession in a playoff game. A lot of things can happen in 11 seconds. 9 points is not an impossible lead to overcome, ever seen Reggie Miller score that 8 points in 9 seconds and won the game for the Pacers?
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/espn25/story?page=moments/90
NBA Moment - 1995 Miller 6 points in 5 seconds vs Knicks - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDlhc492rG0)
As a coach you don't want to make a mistake of just giving up a possession and allow the other team to have any small window to get a victory when you essentially are just about to win the game.

Seems like a repeat of last year, but in 2 games
17-48 from the floor and 13 assists in 2 games from your PG is not going to let you win.
Westbrook has taken 12 more shots than KD so far,and it's really becoming a carbon copy of last year for them
Not to mention getting eaten alive tonight by Parker

Regardless of a comeback, why would you just give up the ball?
Calling a TO when struggling to inbound would be habit most likely too!

I didn't know that was the reason the timeout was called. I assumed that because they had 1 left to use he just used it for that reason.
And a lot can happen in 11 seconds but I don't believe that much can, especially considering that the Spurs wouldn't be dumb enough to turn the ball over 3 times, they would get fouled and have a chance to score more. I won't go any further with this, it happened, game is over. May the best team win.

I have said this all season long,
The Spurs depend on their outside shooting way more than what people actually think.
They don't necessarily rely on the shooting. They rely on being able to make the space for the outside shot! OKC was depending on their outside game more than SAS today, but it wasn't good enough!
Does OKC win game 3?
I think the Spurs will definately take 1 of the 2 games in OKC, if not both. But, if OKC are going to win one, it will be Game 3 imo

They win one game in this series.... results still the same. I hate spurs, but they are much better than OKC this year. OKC needs to trade Westbrook for Rondo or something.

It just shows how Great the spurs are. CP3 was 2-14 FG, 7 ast in the 4th quarter in the spurs series. Lebron would probably be Houdini in the 4th against the spurs.
